  1. All the projections have the Yankees at least 10 games better than us, which is realistic.
  2. I don't think I've ever seen anyone harder on their favorite player. Let me ask this - which of these represents a bigger overpay to you, and why? Kike Hernandez 14/2 JBJ 12/2
  3. Please tell me you got the joke.
  4. Fiddlesticks.
  5. That was a crafty post.
  6. It's way too early to call Glasnow an ace.
  7. I like head-scratchers when they're in our favor.
  8. It'll be Bloom Trade Values by the time he's done.
  9. It's all realistic guesswork that no one would actually bet a dime on.
  10. Chaim staying busy with the little moves.
  11. My pick of 83 is in line with all the projections.
  12. I already gave my prediction of 83 wins for the Sox. I like the Yankees to win the division. I try to be fair and realistic. Many of your recent posts about the Sox are just trash talk.
  13. The projections have the Yankees about 10 games better than us. I can't really disagree.
  14. Marlins are your big example, huh? Let's see, now. 2018 First half 41-57 .418 Second half 22-41 .349 2019 First half 33-55 .375 Second half 24-50 .324 You're spouting uninformed gibberish.
  15. The Sox aren't a young team? They're certainly not an old team. I don't see this point having much merit.
  16. Your prognostications will be given all the credibility they deserve.
  17. This team has enough talent now to be worth watching.
  18. Jaxo not letting pesky facts get in the way.
  19. Your timeline is wrong. The $300 million offer to Mookie was made after the 2018 championship season.
  20. A futile exchange of offers then?
  21. Leaking the $420 million ask by Mookie was as close as they could come to covering their asses.
  22. OK, to rephrase, no one in their right mind would think Price and Eovaldi's contracts could be moved that offseason without eating a huge chunk of the money.
  23. It's been reported that when the Red Sox offered the $300 million, Mookie's side countered at $420 million. And that was apparently the end of it.
  24. The timeline suggests they went to Mookie first with the $300 million offer. When the negotiations failed, they went to Sale and Bogaerts. Sale and Bogaerts didn't sign their extensions until right before the 2019 season. That's why it doesn't really make sense to say Sale's or Bogey's money prevented them from keeping Betts. If they had worked out a deal with Mookie, they wouldn't have kept Sale or Bogey. They told everyone this after the 2018 season, in fact. They said they'd love to be able to keep those three but probably wouldn't be keep all of them.
