    By the same token, if the Sox PR Duran there, the Yankees are more aware of speed on second base and that may change their defensive alignment or what happens on the play. When you change one thing, other things can change too.

    Let's be reasonable. He seems in decline, but he's not far removed from being very good. That said I have no interest in trading for him.

    I wouldn't say we were hot coming into this series though. We beat the Jays twice, but before that we lost 6 of 8, and had lost the last 2 to the Yanks in somewhat ugly fashion.

    Not saying they didn't deserve to win. But when you tie the game on a 2 run double with 2 outs in the 9th, there's a significant element of luck.

    Apparently major league GM's cared about Porcello's 5.64 ERA in 59 IP in 2020...

    OK. But as I already showed, Porcello's average season fWAR is 2.6. And his average season bWAR is only about 1.75.
