  1. You'll still out-post us all. Safe travels.
  2. It's easy to say when you win, but Cora also did well leaving E-Rod in for 6 more outs after the Franco homer.
  3. The first one is a little strange, but the other 3 are just the usual vagaries.
  4. There's no chance in hell Cora is moving any of the 4 studs in the order if he hasn't by now. Maybe in August Duran will be our leadoff hitter. Santana did get on base twice last night.
  5. Our bullpen pitched 5 scoreless, 2 of them starting with a man at second. That's pretty damn good.
  6. Still scored 5 runs though.
  7. They've been using Kike, Arroyo, Marwin or Santana at leadoff depending on handedness of starter and matchups. Obviously the results have not been great, but that's what they've been doing.
  8. Maybe listen to 'Black Magic Woman' as well, and see if that does anything for the Mojo of our leadoff hitter.
  9. "Escapes the wrath of Swiharts Ghost because Swiharts Ghost is a wing nut who posts in mad little flurries and then mercifully disappears for weeks or months"
  10. Not exactly a favorable matchup on paper. Although Kittredge is but an opener.
  11. Dalbec is a minimum wage player, that has to be factored in too.
  12. It was a good contract we got on Kimbrel.
  13. Santana, agreed, but Gonzalez will be kept around for his defense at least.
  14. It looks like Larry and you are in agreement. He didn't say anything about deadline trades.
  15. moon loves those garbage dump trades LOL
  16. The "problem" for the 2021 Sox is that you have to do this while also trying to win games, which can limit your "situational flexibility".
  17. Dalbec has now played about half a full season in the bigs. He has 17 HR and a .482 SLG. Isn't that a guy you're willing to give some rope?
  18. But they've also been working with Dalbec on his swing and it seems to have yielded some positive results.
  19. "Which begs the question" why did they make Worcester such an offense-inflating park?
  20. I don't consider Cordero washed up. But I think the team has handled both him and Dalbec properly.
  21. My position is that I trust the guys who run the team and not the fans. For the guys who run the team it's their everyday job to figure this stuff out. And overall I think they do a good job. That's not a knock on your opinion or anyone else's. I don't think I know any more or less than anyone else here. We're all just fans who know how to read Baseball-Reference.
