  1. Gausman was expensive, but he has really progressed as a pitcher. I do agree it's disappointing the Sox didn't spend a little on a starter.
  2. And the pitching metrics are so different that Rick Porcello's fWAR is 50% better than his bWAR.
  3. Absolutely not.
  4. No one, but the Fellowship of the Miserable is a real thing. (You are not part of it.)
  5. I know BA has lost a lot of its gravitas, but still, .156 is kind of special.
  6. You're trying to reason too. Anyone who would start a "thread" like this is a plain and simple idiot.
  7. Joey Gallo is hitting .156 as a Yankee. Cashman rocks.
  8. You're trying to reason with an idiot. It never works.
  9. It was the Padres that really blew it.
  10. Yes, we're Even Steven so far.
  11. Valdez has even better numbers than Whitlock.
  12. He's doing well at staying on the roster.
  13. But he continues to defy you.
  14. Valdez is a guy I think most expected to be an ex-Red Sox by now. In his tiny sample so far he's been lights-out.
  15. Impressive that he was able to pitch in MLB again.
  16. Hardly anyone in history has had a more impressive comeback from the depths than Bard. Good for him.
  17. I go on the NYY Fans site quite a bit to read what they're saying about Cashman. I can't help myself. They crucify him on a daily basis and some of the comments are hilarious. It's great stuff.
  18. Yes, there's a direct correlation between the two.
  19. Rob Replacement Player
  20. My vote goes unhesitatingly to NFL players. They play a sport that has been proven to significantly reduce life expectancy...
  21. I doubt they're significantly dumber than football, basketball or hockey players.
  22. And then there's Trevor Story, who had to agree to get vaxxed as a condition of signing a $140 million deal. Money spoke VERY loudly there.
  23. Which others?
  24. Not really the Song we wanted to hear.
  25. That's a winner.
