  2. It Snow Balled.
  3. "Very inconsistent." He's pitched in 21 MLB games, with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. What are you expecting, no-hit bids every time out?
  4. Is it good for the players though?
  5. We read a lot on here about all the blunders the Red Sox organization has made. Considering that the Red Sox have the most championships of any team this century, just think of all the blunders the other teams must be making!
  6. So there was no Rule 5 Draft this year, I just read.
  7. Hard to say. Wells was just kind of marveling at the way fans would come up to him everywhere he went and start jabbering about the team, I think.

  16. Like The Curse of Oak Island LOL

With all that money comes big expectations, and it must be hard on the head when you're not performing like you did, and you know that a lot of people are disappointed in you or even hating on you.
  18. Who the hell knows? The finances of baseball are one of the world's great enigmas.
  19. Never once did he actually say so. Which doesn't mean that he didn't. But Mookie is too smart and too classy to say anything like that.
  20. Perfectly stated.
  21. Texas had income of almost $100 mill. The Mets had a loss of almost $100 mill. Pretty wild disparities.
  22. We've been clamoring for the team to spend some money. They did, and it looks like they did so in a pretty smart way. What more can we ask? Of course there's uncertainty, there always is.
  23. And of course Suzuki cost $70 million.
  24. Moncada was sort of a special case, as he cost us 63 million to sign.
  25. It's called optimism. Even Chaim Bloom has it, or he wouldn't have signed Paxton...
