  1. If Eovaldi can get healthy, so can Sale.
  2. So your original point that the difference between 165 and 225 is only one hit a week is: a) an interesting mathematical tidbit that says nothing about the actual impact on runs, wins and losses
  3. The major league average for 2021 was 16.7 runs per 30 hits.
  4. But of course the difference was 48 hits, because there were more at bats. Are you honestly trying to argue that one hit a week does not make a big difference? Yes or no.

  12. I remember when Papi lost his bat speed forever, in 2009 I think it was...
  13. I thought JD's 2021 postseason line of 344/447/688 was acceptable.
  14. It's practically cheating!
  15. 74 was my first trip to Fenway, right in the middle of the slide.
  16. Now you're mixing up posts about JD and the Jays.
  17. Yes, he looks like a bargain at that price.
  18. No, but it suggests they were better than their 2021 W-L record.
  19. Yep. I don't think that's what iortiz means, though.
  20. 72 wasn't my first Sox season, but it was my first Sox heartbreaker.
  21. Passing on McHugh at that price was a real disappointment.
  22. Other significant potential gains: Full season of Berrios Full season of Springer Also, they had a Pythagorean record of 99-63 last year.
