  1. I bumped the 'Barnes Extended' thread for your perusal.
  2. Bumped to revisit reactions!
  3. I was just kidding about all the parsing.
  4. Most liked it at the time.
  5. Some other team probably offered Diekman 2 years and $7.5 million. My disappointment was not signing McHugh for a couple mill more.
  6. He may have been. But as soon as the game is tied the whole equation changes.
  7. That was the classic game that either team could have won. We needed to score another run in the 10th. King did a fine job. He's good.
  8. I can't argue. Trading a couple of prospects for Manaea would have made sense to me too.
  9. You do have a vicious streak LOL
  10. Going into yesterday's game, DJ had a career OPS of .707 against the Red Sox, and 5 homers in 306 PA's. So it's not like he's been teeing off on us.
  11. Frivolous is a good word for it.
  12. I guess it's because saves and blown saves seem like simple stats. Denny is not wrong that having a strong bullpen and preserving leads are important, more than ever. But the stats themselves are f**d up.
  13. There's a lot of random crap involved in it, too. In the 10th inning the Yankees pen gave up one run and we gave up one run, but we get the blown save. Why? Because the game was in their park.
  14. Takes a lot of parsing to arrive at that, doesn't it?
  15. Because it's 2 years @ $4 million, would be my guess.
  16. You are on the Fitzwagon.
  17. Think about how much fun it would be if Gerrit gets lit up again, though.
  18. And Tiger had a nasty precedent of driving under the influence of narcotics. Not recreational drugs, but powerful painkillers.
  19. If he keeps it up, maybe we'll see him.
  20. Yes, he was going 85 in a 45 zone. Incredibly lucky that there were no other cars in his path. To this day he has not been able to explain what happened, he just says he can't remember. They didn't test him for narcotics. Mulligan!
  21. Fiddlesticks.
  22. It's always the guys with Z's in their names who go.
  23. Swell, as Shaughnessy would say (ripping off Clint Eastwood). Actually, it might turn out well, or it might not. Still 11 years to run on Mookie's deal.
  24. Just talking about the car crash in 2021. He didn't really get a mulligan on the love life thing.
  25. That's what many said about Mookie.
