    It somehow seems fitting that right on top of Henry's comments about fans' unrealistic expectations, the Sox lose back to back games against the dreadful White Sox and dip under .500 again.

    What I'd say is that Bloom did *virtually* nothing to help the 2022 or 2023 teams at the deadline. The Vazquez trade was a future-oriented move that looks like it will pay off with Abreu. That was the only significant sell move.

    It was really stupid of Henry to say anything about a 1 in 30 chance, implying that every team has the same chance regardless of their advantages or disadvantages in wealth and baseball acumen.

    Yeah, the mismanagement started in earnest when Epstein left. It's been Before Theo and After Theo. After Theo we got 2 more titles, but 6 seasons under .500, going on 7.

    Yeah, I think a big part of the problem is he doesn't have a guy like Larry who knows something about PR any more. Plus, John, if you're going to keep your mouth shut, keep your mouth shut. You just went and opened it again, y'know?

    Yeah, I don't talk much because my words tend to get used against me. But I will say this, fans have unrealistic expectations, think you should win it all every year and want you to spend like there's no tomorrow. Fans are all wrong. I sure hope those words don't get used against me.

    I think you're under-rating the risk with Pivetta. It seems like adding the sweeper has been a big boost for him, but the sweeper is also reportedly very stressful on the arm.

    In Halifax, when I was growing up a lot of us had rinks in our backyards! You can still get out on the pond for a skate sometimes in deep winter, but no, they don't freeze as well as they used to.
