  1. As you can see Fred, no one here agrees with you. If you can't find anyone who agrees with you in the slightest, it probably means you're wrong. Especially since vegasbob and Tedballgame are the diametric opposite of bonnetheads. Of course I fully realize this will only inspire you to even more posts about Rafaela's K zone recognition, because that's how you roll.
  2. Well, this thread stayed on topic for 1.5 posts. 😁
  3. Looks pretty hopeless. 7 games in NY and TB before we get to play Minny. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the team's competitive fire, as they showed again last night. Not their fault they got shafted by ownership's tightfistedness and some really bad/unlucky moves by Breslow. I'm still hoping for the team every game, but if we miss the playoffs we know where the blame lies.
  4. Good story, thanks. Hamilton really surprised with his pop this year. Bummer he';s injured right now.
  5. "The bulk of them" is a tad excessive.
  6. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to put in an application for one of the new positions opening up for associate assistant vice presidents.
  7. The other problem is Henry only gives his CBOs 4 years, so he only has 3 left. Sorry Brock, I am a rather skeptical voice on Red Sox leadership these days. 🙂
  8. Maybe after he shows he can still pitch...
  9. There's plenty to be optimistic about, but I think we also have some reason to be skeptical or nervous about the guys who are running the team, based on some of the decisions we've seen the last few years.
  10. Hendriks and Sale are almost exactly the same age, too.
  11. .500 teams gonna .500. Every game a flip of the coin.
  12. Yes, there are three names, that's not the issue.
  13. Three instead of two = Freudian slip?
  14. We're basically a .500 team for the 6 years 2019-2024.
  15. Yeah, of course we're only 2 games ahead of the Rays for 4th.
  16. It's been largely one long series of blunders with the MLB team since that moment in 2019 when Henry lost his marbles.
  17. Campbell is no Mickey Gasper, though! Gasper may take over Dalbec's spot as living testament to the gulf between AAA pitching and MLB pitching. His Woo numbers are pretty insane.
  18. Grissom also seems to have a very similar offensive skill set to Yoshida. I guess that plays a lot better at the 2B position though, assuming his fielding is adequate.
  19. A virtually inexplicable signing by Bloom. We needed starting pitching and he signed 2 DH's - Yoshida and Turner.
  20. I don't think he said anything, but he was aware they were there waiting for him. He didn't break any rules. But it's not a great look and kind of draws unwanted attention. And it is hard to overlook that it's a guy making over $30 million a year. All IMHO.
  21. I think the one criticism that stands is this: if you're not going to talk to the writers, don't make them wait around for an hour to find out. That's just common courtesy. They're only doing their jobs.
  22. It all pretty much adds up to Maestros of Mediocrity. Even Stevens.
  23. June 12-July 14 was by far their best stretch of the season. They won 20 out of 29. And that included a lot of good teams. July 14 was of course the last day before the ASB.
