    Crawford's going to be shelved soon and get his operation done. Then in upcoming months we'll be treated to a bunch of stories on how excited he is for next year and how we're going to get to see the 'real Carl Crawford'.

    It's Daniel Bard Bobblehead Night tonight in Pawtucket. The first 4,000 fans 14 and under get one free. Apparently, if you're willing to pay you can get the special model that throws 92 MPH fastballs all over the place, many of them right at you.

    There's only one thing that'll stop Sweet Caroline. That's if fans like yourself at the ballpark start snapping and trying to strangle people who are singing it when we're getting our asses kicked. It could happen too.

    Really good point, SoxSport. The Sox are 11th in the league in walks this year after being in the top 3 for years.

    OK, to rephrase, I don't think we could make trades for Crawford or Lackey that would be anything but prohibitively stupid. We could probably trade Lackey for a low-level prospect if we paid 90% of his remaining contract.

    We should be able to trade Beckett. But as of this moment I can't see anyway on earth we could trade Crawford or Lackey.

    Echoing what some others have said, trading Beckett and trading Salty would be my first two moves.
