  1. Trading Pedroia is definitely one of the worst suggestions I've heard.
  2. But if Cherington is just Lucchino's puppet, then getting rid of him probably just means another puppet takes his place.
  3. http://images.hitfix.com/photos/538894/The_Horror_The_Horror_article_story_main.jpg The horror, the horror...
  4. I don't know how much to fault Valentine for the mess. But the team is playing horrible baseball in just about every department, beating themselves in some of these games. They gave him that little vote of confidence and they've lost 3 in a row since? Not a good omen for Bobby.
  5. Yeah, believe me I understand what you're saying. I'm just getting a feeling that this team is quitting, and the FO may have to do it even if just to give the impression they're aware that this isn't really acceptable to the fans of Boston...
  6. Quite a bold stroke that trade was huh?
  7. They might have to fire Valentine before the season ends after all.
  8. I think I'd like to get rid of McClure too. I have no idea how much of the suckfest he's responsible for, but he ain't exactly performing magic, as far as I can see.
  9. Billy Beane is really trying to stick it to us. 4 ex-Sox in the lineup today (they just signed Kottaras) and they all had at least 1 RBI.
  10. Yeah, like 700hitter's sig line says, sooner or later.
  11. Roy Ass-walt...please can we do some damage to this guy.
  12. Here it is is August 8, and aside from Morales who has only started 6 games, we don't have a single starter with an ERA lower than 4.48. That's insane.
  13. That looks suspiciously like this year's rotation, the one with the hefty ERA.
  14. Dempster's first AL start resulted in a line of 8 earned runs in 4.2 innings. Let's continue his warm welcome to the league with a similar beating tonight.
  15. How can I answer that...let me try this: I am so filled with skepticism on the chances of him contributing that it is oozing out of my ears.
  16. I'd love to see Gonzo hit more homers, but man, he can hit RBI singles in his sleep.
  17. Darvish has been getting seriously roughed up his last few starts.
  18. He hasn't given up more than 2 in a game since April, 2009.
  19. Cook has 4 K's and 4 BB's all season.
