  1. Yes, it's all hearsay about the anxiety issues. But when you take his numbers with the Yankees and Sox and combine it with how quickly both teams seemed to give up on him, it seems to have some substance.
  2. I'd like to respond to this, but I know nothing about candy stores in Brooklyn. Can you really sell enough of that s*** to make a nice profit? I think most of the candy stores around where I live are just fronts for dope dealers.
  3. SoxSport, it really is amazing that you can dish out all that criticism to management and somehow glide obliviously past the fact that the team has the best record in the league after winning 69 games last year.
  4. Ha ha...the Yankees lose and so do the Orioles, as Jim Johnson gives up 2 in the 9th. We're up 3.5 games somehow.
  5. What you're leaving out of all that is the team's W-L record. Depending on the outcome of tomorrow night's game with the Jays they'll be either on a 94-win pace or a 96-win pace at the halfway point.
  6. Melancon seems to have had anxiety issues with the Yankees and the Red Sox. Maybe they should have kept him. But who the hell knows...
  7. Joba Chamberlain is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
  8. Incredible rack. The rest of her is all there too.
  9. Why haven't the Yanks released Joba yet?
  10. Go Rangers, go Tribe. At least one of you anyway.
  11. Dick Pole, Peter LaCock, and Rusty Kuntz. Now these are the Hall of Famers of dirty names.
  12. The very first game I ever saw at Fenway, the winning pitcher was Dick Pole.
  13. At one time the Jays had Dave Bush and Brandon League. And they pitched in the same game sometimes. I thought the Bush League thing was hilarious, but I think I was the only one on the planet who did.
  14. It's too bad Jimmy Gobble is no longer in the big leagues.
  15. You're not reading all Fred's posts obviously.
  16. Good thing I checked the MLB scoreboard...didn't know it was an early start.
  17. Fred, I think that Red Sox management is a lot less trigger-happy on these things than most message board posters.
  18. I think you also have to include Ortiz. There were a lot of complaints about his deal.
  19. Or Tazawa as relief ace/backup closer.
  20. Cashman has been a good GM for the Yanks but the guy is actually a nutjob. I'm surprised the Yankees have tolerated his antics this long. Can you imagine if Ben Cherington had a 'Fatal Attraction' stalker like Cash did?
  21. I think we should hold off on that. But I like the guy a lot so I'm not very objective about it.
  22. Based on a small sample though.
  23. Better yet, drill one off Steve Tyler when he's in the Monster seats.
