    My reasoning is this: in 2015 there were less than 1200 challenges initiated by managers out of a possible total of about 4800, so less than 25%. I think that % would be higher if not for all the occasions where the manager checks the video and sees that the call was correct. If managers were utilizing their challenges 75% of the time instead of 25% then obviously the video checks would add to the total length of delays rather than reduce them.

    The only problem is that there would be even more time wasted on replays if they weren't checking video first to see if it's worth challenging.

    Beckett had two sensational postseasons that earned him 2 rings, one against the Yanks and one for the Sox. Quite an achievement.

    He's got a UZR/150 at 3B this year of 5.6, so a little better than average.

    The fact is that the Sox FO has been a multi-headed beast since Henry bought the team, and as fans it doesn't get spelled out for us who did what, so we have to draw our own conclusions based on the circumstantial evidence. That's why I was comparing it to the Buch-Miley speculation.

    I would interpret what he said as that he was involved in the trade rumors. The whole Buch-or-Miley thing seems to hang on one tweet from Ken Rosenthal. It's a rumor-a plausible one, but a rumor.

    We don't know what the exact discussions with the M's were, but the whole gist of this argument should really be, who was a better commodity at the time, Miley or Buchholz? And harmony laid out a convincing case for why it was Miley.
