  1. .....and gets injured on the odd ones.
  2. Based on what?
  3. This is what I keep telling her. I'm on the "Buch was a no-brainer" camp and I don't take the mocking personally.
  4. The Sox have been making significantly more package deals than any other MLB team, and the authorities had been on their trail for a while. They got caught because they were stupid about it.
  5. I don't get why you keep taking it personal though. A bunch of people here make the point about the human element being an indispensable part of the game. Out of all of those people, you think I'm singling you out. Why?
  6. I think the original plan was to make CV the starting catcher as soon as he was ready. Swihart was rushed last year, and it was clear the bat was live, but the glove was not ready.
  7. Pedroia averages 16 GIDP per 162, and has had years of 24, 19 and 17 GIDP's. He grounds into double plays a lot, and there's a simple explanation behind it: He stings a lot of balls, and a lot of them are hit on the ground. You're not going to avoid a DP on a 100+ MPH grounder unless the fielder makes an error.
  8. The Sox were the one punished because they were the ones who were doing it in a more blatant manner. Let's not pretend there's anything else going on here. I understand their reasoning too, since it's standard practice and you need any edge you can get stockpiling talent, but don't be stupid about it.
  9. We don't, but it's easy to make unsupported assumptions if they coincide with our opinions. We all do it.
  10. Most spots actually, but still.
  11. "It's the pitching, stupid!"
  12. Don't worry. I'll call them the f*** out too. Also, keep Pedroia but move his DP-hitting ass from the 2 spot, Fire Farrell, release Buchholz. My new mantra.
  13. So you've done everything: Been in the military, managed people, traveled the world. You, sir, are full of s***.
  14. Yeah, but other people actually come to this site to have baseball discussions instead of using it as a whine receptacle. It's a tired act.
  15. For some guys, the wildness starts way before there's actual, pronounced pain. Then there's the snap, and an 18 month recovery period.
  16. Lately? He had a bad start after eight consecutive good-to-great starts. And I'm not talking about Price, I am talking about your whining in general. That is literally all you do on this site. Join some other, none-whine discussions.
  17. Buchholz still has velocity, but no idea where the ball is going. That is a telltale sign of guys with big damage of their flexor mass/UCL.
  18. Because high-leverage pitching and bullpens are not the same thing. At all.
  19. You let me have my fun. The ump was flat-out terrible today.
  20. John Farrell is not the GM of this team. What you are saying is nonsense.
  21. f*** Durant. f*** the GSW.
  22. If Price has a good start tomorrow, do you think you can spend at least three games without your incessant, uninterrupted, torrential, continous, machinegun whining? Pretty please?
  23. You know who's awful JBay? You're awful....wanna know why? Because umpires are awesome, and no one should lower the game's enjoyment factor by messing with: THE HUMAN ELEMENT!!!!11!!!!
  24. You succeeded then.
  25. Hilariously, the two countries most involved in the mess (Venezuela and DR) are the providers of oil and beans, respectively, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the respective tax structures, and other than hilarity purposes, I don't see how that's relevant.
