    Lucroy is literally the most valuable trade chip for a rebuilding club in baseball right now. The cost would be extraordinary to upgrade a position we don't need to upgrade. I'd much rather they go after Jimmy Nelson.

    They're just platitudes. It's the typical manager "defending his pitcher" and pitcher "being overly hard on himself" BS. Now read carefully: None of the s*** they say to the media actually means or is worth anything. The only thing missing to complete the trifecta of useless commentary was the typical "We just need to take one day at a time and one game at a time."

    This is a good point. A lot of people are fixated on getting guys for the top of the rotation, when that's clearly not the problem. Give the team a chance to win on nights Price/Wright/Porcello don't start and we're in business.
