  1. Also, what is it with you and other guys' genitalia bro? Seriously, a "chubby"? Are we in middle school?
  2. Price has taken his time acclimating, but proclaiming "he sucks" is short-sighted and ridiculous. Buchholz is a guy who you can claim with certainty that he sucks. Price and ERod, not so much.
  3. So you're s***ing on Price but defending Buchholz? You know, I've got this bridge for sale here in Santo Domingo.....
  4. ...who had reeled off 8 QS in a row. When was the last time Buchholz (or ERod for that matter) pitched a QS. Defending Buccholz is flat-out stupid. He just plain flat-out sucks. With Erod, there's at least a glimmer of hope because he's young and coming off injury. Buch can't throw strikes and his stuff is diminished. Time to accept reality.
  5. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2016 Boston Red Sox.
  6. Well this is the Game Thread now.
  7. Lots of suggestions. Very little substance. If Cleveland had wanted to move any of them, it clearly could have.
  8. 5.1 IP, 5 R (4 ER), 12 (!) baserunners.
  9. How many games have Ross Jr. and Layne started where they've put the team in a 3+ run hole by the third inning? What's that, you say? None? Then they're not the problem.
  10. Why are people still trying to sugarcoat the fact that Buchholz f***ing sucks?
  11. Liriano has a history of sustained success the prior three years, and thus teams think they may be able to fix him.
  12. With a couple of breaks, they may win 90+, but it's almost impossible those breaks happen with the pitching as currently constructed.
  13. This is a good point. I will do further research.
  14. Short answer: No. A player needs to be on the 40-man roster in order for his salary to count towards the salary cap.
  15. It's a "June" swoon for a reason. It will end. "No team is as good as they look when they're streaking or as bad as they look when they're slumping"
  16. That's illogical on two fronts: A) Saying Bradley cost the Sox "nothing" is a fallacy, since they signed, developed and now pay the league minimum to Bradley. B ) The system is a direct comparison between Ellsbury and the player currently occupying his position for the Red Sox. No use further complicating the comparison just because you want to point the FO's failures in their deployment of resources. We're all well aware of that, but it's out of the scope of what slasher is trying to track/compare.
  17. If he's not on the 40-man roster, his contract does not count against the luxury tax.
  18. Guys don't need a "set amount of AB's". They need to show the people who are paid to make these f***ing decisions that they are both physically (numbers) and mentally (demeanor, ability to handle adversity) ready for the big time. The approach to get guys up here is anything but formulaic, and even mentioning it as such shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how prospect development does (and should) work. Michael Conforto got fast-tracked to the big leagues because of his performance and team needs. How is he doing these days?
  19. Chivas is similarly priced but better (IMO) than Dewar's 12 or JW double black. JW or Dewar's red or white label (the cheap stuff) as sold here is better used to start bbq's or campfires than for human consumption. Unless liver health is of no importance to you, but death's hangover is.
  20. Chivas Regal. By the end of the 6th inning, Chivas broken bottle.
  21. Who the hell is John Ferrell? Did the funny guy change his first name and is now managing the Red Sox?
  22. Have my bottle of Scotch ready for the afternoon. It will help ease the pain.
