  1. Anybody can dethrone me. It's all about luck and just a little bit of skill. I've been blessed in the injury department.
  2. Even with somebody who has 3 months off in the best part of the season?
  3. I fail to see a different between math and fantasy baseball.
  4. I feel that you guys would be happier with me out of the league, given the fact that I've reached the championship both times, so of course I'm back in. The tail end of the season might get a bit chaotic, since I'll be moving to college.
  5. Yeah, this was Game #3 of that series IIRC.
  6. Rocco Baldelli
  7. How about just plain odd names, like Wladimir Balentien?
  8. Catfish Hunter
  9. Oil Can Boyd Aledmys Diaz Rusty Kuntz (KC base coach) Magglio Ordoñez Nap Lajoie Tris Speaker
  10. Christmas came early!!!

  12. As an umpire, I can tell you that there is no real regulation in place, but it does depend on your son's age, and the league he plays in. If he's still in youth programs, either one is acceptable, the only difference is that the hockey style mask is actually more dangerous, since it wraps around the head. If he were to get hit by a foul ball, the hockey style mask could easily shatter if the ball hits it in just the right spot. Furthermore, the hockey style doesn't do much to prevent concussions, even though it might appear to do so at first glance. So, it doesn't really matter, but if you're concerned with safety, I'd go with the traditional. But, bring both just in case, because there could be some league specific rule that I don't know about.
  13. Young Lindor is a switch hitting Mookie Betts. They even look alike! Go get him, D.D.! Offer Bogy and Bradley. The Guardians COULD bite!
  14. I actually think I knew that. I've been by Nationals Park numerous times, the fact that it is inside city limits really makes it easier as well, since you do get all of the public transportation.
  15. Beltway traffic isn't much better, from what I understand.
  16. Oh yeah, I completely forgot that I have a game tonight on the banks of the Connecticut River.
  17. Did they set a date for his jersey retirement? I don't pay much attention to these types of things.
  18. Eh, Thursday night football is calling my name tonight.
  19. Meanwhile, I'm bored to death by the Dodgers-Nats series.
  20. You can't prove that they aren't.
  21. Whoever wins the World Series will have the illustrious honor of having their first title since I've been alive.
  22. There are a couple simple ways to get around this conundrum. You're a calc teacher, you can come up with a solution.
  23. This night, the night the Red Sox get knocked out, just so happens to be the 91st birthday of the man who taught me how to love them. RIP Grandpa.
  24. The only reason I might shed a tear in the next few hours is because the last player who I cannot remember a time without has gone off into the sunset, in a manner that was less than desirable. Furthermore, the departure of David Ortiz marks the end of my childhood, 6 days before my 18th birthday. He is the reason I am a Red Sox fan, and the reason I will always be one. What I want to see everybody do now is to remain mature. Acknowledge the efforts of the Guardians. Recognize the talent on their roster. Personally, I would like the Guardians to do something magical, for the sake of my aunt and uncle who have been die hard Cleveland sports fans forever. Hold your heads high. All of our young players needed to get their feet wet. Well be back next year. We'll be back for many years. The role for us in the remaining days of postseason baseball is to be grateful that anybody who wins the World Series this year will have a great backstory. For the sake of your baseball fandom, please enjoy it. I know I will.
  25. Shower mojo is a go people.
