    So, I'm very pleased with my first impression of this team. The offense looked good, and will get better. Gerrit Cole is a good pitcher when he's on, and until the 5th, he looked like he was on, so I'm not too upset that we didn't light him up or anything. Porcello looked good, but I think he should've come out before the start of the 7th. I have no idea what his pitch count was through 6, but nonetheless, I felt like being up 5-0, it would have been a good time to see what our bullpen had to offer. Also, I watched the pregame intros live, before I went to my baseball practice, and the standing O that the Fenway Faithful gave to Sale when he was introduced was eye-opening. As long as he pitches well tomorrow, my opinion of him has taken a complete 180. You could even say that I'm sold.

    I got the last 30 minutes of the pregame and the game itself set to record. I have practice today... We were supposed to open today as well but winter just left CT two days ago.

    I think Pineda will have a better year this year, but still, Tanaka did not look good at all today, and that's a bad sign for the Yanks.

    I realize that Benintendi will be hitting second, but I still like Bogaerts in that spot, even though it makes more sense for Benintendi to bat there, so that a left handed bat can be up in the top.

    It snowed today in Connecticut, on the first day of April. But, somewhere, spring has already arrived; I'm sure of it. The first pitch of the 2017 Regular Season will be thrown in less than 20 hours.

    As am I, but my start to the MLB season will begin at 4:10 tomorrow. I'd prefer my first baseball watching experience not be the Yankees and the Rays. Instead, I'll watch one of my favorite pitchers take on the most famous alumnus of my high school.

    When was the last time a pitcher even came to bat in that situation? We've been in the era of pinch hitting for relief pitchers for as long as I can remember.

    I look to something that I know I could never do. I'm not a pitcher whatsoever, so I'd say a no hitter/perfect game.
