Yes. The pitcher is less afraid to put the ball in play, and in the case of someone like Porcello, a ground ball pitcher, that really puts him at his best level.

I'm aware of that. But, the first few weeks, before those new relationships form, can be so tough, especially far from home. It would be nice to have a little comfort zone to ease into it.

Thanks for the advice! I've been looking primarily at state schools, with the exception of Duke, Ga Tech, and Miami University. There are some places I want to go to more than others, and some, like UConn, that I would go to regardless of the amount of aid I get. It also might depend on where some of my friends end up going. If there's a group of us going to UConn, then I would rather be there than be the only one I know at a place like Ohio State, Miami, Duke, etc...

As long as we take 3 of 4 from the O's, we're good, since the Jays have to deal with a surging Seattle on the west coast. That would put us 5 up with 9 to play.

Pen did the same thing on Tuesday, holding the O's scoreless for the majority of the game until the late HR by Schoop. I'm really pleased with the way the pitching has settled in since the ASB.

I remember OB saying something last night during Ellsbury's first AB about how he hasn't started in some of the biggest games the Yankees have played in over the last two years, like the games a couple weeks ago that got them back in the hunt, and the Wild Card game last year. Girardi doesn't trust his ability in the clutch, and IIRC, he didn't do much for us in the clutch in 2013.
