  1. At least Pomeranz has looked pretty good so far.
  2. Xander looks out of sync as well. Like I said, a lot of our better hitters are just coming back from either the flu or the bereavement list. It'll come.
  3. Seems like Moreland is the only one hitting the ball well for us right now.
  4. I know so many people at this game and I'm so jealous. It's a mid-summer's night in April. These nights make you fall in love with Fenway and the Red Sox, no matter the result.
  5. Mookie looks really, really bad.
  6. Yeah, but give it time. We're just starting to get over the flu. We'll be a little out of sync for a few days. I missed a couple days myself with the flu, and in practice today, my swing and my timing were a little out of sorts.
  7. Home cookin'. Win. Dance. Repeat.
  8. Dammit Kinsler.... He's on my fantasy team, but still. Couldn't let Sale go scoreless for his first two outings with the Red Sox?
  9. After seeing his first two starts now, my view on Sale has completely changed. I love watching this guy pitch.
  10. Yeah, then have Leon hit into a DP.... I'll still take these runs though. The way Sale has looked in his first 8 innings in a Red Sox uniform, I feel good about any run support.
  11. That's about the worst thing that Holt could've done...
  12. Speed doesn't correlate to hops. He couldn't have gotten that in his youth.
  13. 9 pitches in the first inning off Verlander? Yeah, that can't happen.
  14. I had 6 saves in week 1, from a bunch of guys that I didn't expect: The three NL West closers other than Melancon and Jansen.
  15. It's my first day of Spring Break, and I've been stuck on the couch all day with the flu. I even had to miss my practice. Oh well. Now I have something to do.
  16. On to Dey-twah! I heard there's snow in the forecast... Win. Dance. Repeat. x3
  17. Well, the offense is still getting their feet wet as well. Rays are always a tough team to hit against.
  18. A very encouraging sign indeed. At first glance, the bullpen looks a lot better. Some of the outs are still hard outs, but that just means that they're throwing strikes. But, the first two guys to pitch for us don't walk very many people. Let's wait and see what E-Rod, Wright, and Pomeranz do in the coming days.
  19. Great outing by Sale, great ending by Leon. It would be nice if this walk-off magic could be around all year. That was the one thing we really couldn't do last year. The bats are going to warm up with the weather. Everybody just wait.
  20. I didn't realize how much I missed sitting down at night to watch Red Sox baseball until I actually did... This is the good life right here.
  21. There it is! They're chasing the slider early!!!
  22. Was the flu bug for sale at a local flea market? I count at least two puns in that sentence. I'll show myself out.
  23. Welcome! I see you're a fellow Nutmegger. I love your username, and look forward to engaging in both friendly and unfriendly banter with you.
  24. Like I said last night, if Sale pitches well tonight, my view of him will change to a positive one. The tide turned for me when I saw the ovation he got wen he was introduced on Opening Day.
