  1. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713543-red-sox-hall-of-famer-jimmy-piersall-dies-at-87 I feel like I don't appreciate his legacy enough since I never remember him playing, but I'm sure he meant a lot to some of you old timers around here.
  2. In a limited sampling this year, I have about as many wins as the last two years combined... I got some graduation/Europe/moving into college mojo coming in a few weeks.
  3. Every Price and Sale start from here on out are must wins. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  4. These FOX commentators will be a nice change of scenery. Vasgersian and Smoltz have the game. It would be Joe Buck, but he's preparing for the US Open Golf tourney in two weeks. Win. Dance. Repeat.
  5. Indeed. Ballplayers like me know that momentum is actually a real thing. We had one game we we were no hit through 5 innings, then somebody hit a double off the wall, then we exploded for like 5 or 6 runs. Same pitcher throwing the same pitches...
  6. What a disappointing game. No excuse for not being able to pound Miley to the ground. E-Rod's been pitching great, but the O's are so driven by momentum that it takes one HR to get them going.
  7. Seems like a good idea if you ask me. I don't know enough about it, but it seems reasonable that he would give it up, unless it's got some sentimental value.
  8. Win. Dance. Repeat. x4
  9. Last night, in the last baseball game I will ever play, my outfield compadres and I got to do our own version of Win Dance Repeat, capping a 25-1 win in the season finale, providing a little bit of light at the end of a 2-18 tunnel. So, let's see the real boys do it again tonight. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3
  10. I finally get Donaldson AND Maeda back tomorrow... Still could use some pitching.
  11. In my lifetime: Starter: Julian Tavares Reliever: Eric Gagne (Daniel Bard is a close second)
  12. I hope that game 3 win turns this series around in the Celtics favor in that weird sort of way that sports sometimes plays out.
  13. I remember talking to my kindergarten teacher about the ALCS comeback in 2004, although I don't remember watching any of those games or the World Series. The first games I remember watching/listening to are the 2005 playoffs.
  14. Rays suck. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  15. Nothing goes better with the kielbasa they cherish up there... But, I am underage and have sworn off drinking for my entire life, so...
  16. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3. Milwaukee style.
  17. LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (1-1, 2.70) vs RHP Phil Hughes (4-1, 5.06) Pedroia 2B Benintendi LF Betts RF Ramirez DH Bogaerts SS Moreland 1B Rutledge 3B Bradley, Jr. CF Vazquez C Thank god we're on the road. It's raining sideways in New England. Win. Dance. Repeat.
  18. Aaron Freakin' Judge, man. He'll cool down, like Sanchez, but still, in 2018/19/20, the Yanks are going to be filthy.
  19. Agreed. Holt should go nowhere. He's a gap filler, as I like to call it. You can't pay for that kind of versatility. Even his bat can be relied upon (for the most part). Now, mvp's been berating Pedroia for a long time, and I'm starting to turn the corner on that issue. If we absolutely had to, I can see a situation when trading Pedey would be a good idea.
  20. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3 I'm gonna miss this one, but that's alright with me. I'm getting a taste of what it's like to be a pro ballplayer tonight.
  21. That's what put Donaldson on the DL.... I do like the idea though. I witnessed Devers first hand this week, as he's been playing in Hartford against the Yard Goats, whose ballpark we play in tomorrow night. A superstar at third isn't what we need. Take Beltre, or another low price, high quality 3B on a potential selling team (Castellanos, Moustakas, even Solarte) and use that to make our late season push.
  22. That game last night was the single greatest performance I have seen live. IT dug deep. If the Celtics hadn't come back from 0-2 vs the Bulls, I would say that this series is over.
