Sometimes, I've wondered how the Red Sox would be if they got a Molina to play behind the plate, and allocated that money elsewhere (like, the bullpen). I feel like that might be a better team.

They might as well just have IBB'd Hamilton. VMart set up way off the plate and Paps hit his spots those times, at least.

We have Wakefield for the pen. And I guess some starter could make a performance a la Mike Pelfrey earlier in the season (when he was scheduled to throw a side session then just pitched an inning for the save instead).

Come on Paps, two strike counts shouldn't mean you throw your fastball every time. But the first two pitches were pretty good.

Why was Bill Hall a defensive substitute for Lowrie? Unless Lowrie's mono is acting up, that change makes no sense.

Rays lost 5-0. Yankees losing 4-3 bottom 5, but it's Kansas City so who knows what'll happen. We need this win.

One more example of why wins is a terrible stat. Beckett's eligible for one, and he's certainly not been any good. And yet, it's a key factor for a lot of Cy Young voters. Ells has left side pain, the same side as his broken ribs.
