Dice-K had that no hitter going at Philly. Though, I didn't actually see the game, so I don't know how dominant he was, but I think it was better (until he gave up a hit, of course) than Edwin Jackson's 8-walk effort. I think Dice-K right now is about where his true talent level is. I think he could maybe have a 3.5 ERA season in the future, but I'm not sure whether that will happen.

Fenway cheers every time MDC throws a strike. They haven't gotten to cheer all that often tonight.

Beckett is getting his ass bailed out. For a pitcher who's had good groundball tendencies, it hasn't been showing these past few starts.

Cliff Lee is averaging over 8 IP a start. IMO if he doesn't win it's a travesty.

Strikeouts also matter. Buchholz doesn't have a lot. I think Lester's shot at the Cy Young is better than Buchholz's, despite Buch's better ERA and win total.
