  1. Non-tender pap. With that rotation, Atchison, Bard, Doubront + 2 good relievers will be fine.
  2. read my post again. Trade Scutaro + Papelbon to save 17 for the bullpen.
  3. 32 on Beltran and Lee 2 million extra spent, +12 for Papelbon +5 for Scutaro== 15 million to spend on 3 bullpen arms. Not easy, but even though they will push the LT a little bit, it won't put them into Yankee money. They can do this if they wanted to.
  4. No way they bring back Beltre. He's going to get seriously overpaid, creates a logjams with 2 other gold gloves, and they lose on the draft picks. Lose lose lose all the way around.
  5. + Beltran, Lee. - Dice-k Hmm....
  6. I seriously can't see the Yankees going into 2011 without either Lee or Greinke.
  7. Dustin Richardson
  8. I don't know, I think the Sox 6/120 offer was simply them lowballing him. They must have known they needed to do much better, and that was just their low bid. Its called haggling haha
  9. The Nationals saw something very interesting last season with Strasburg last season. Whenever he was pitching, the attendence records would shoot up by the thousands. Strasburg's ceiling is what Cliff Lee is-- an elite cy young pitcher. He'll bring fans in.
  10. This is the Nationals we're talking about.Bryce won't play in the majors next year either. They won't contend next year, no matter what they do, but that doesn't mean they're not serious, and starting to get people to the stadium will definitely help.
  11. I think if the Yankees don't get Lee, they will get Greinke, without question-- especially with reports of Pettite's retirement.
  12. Cliff Lee and Strasburg... This team could be serious.
  13. If the entire rest of the football world hates you... why not brag a little bit?
  14. They had around 50 million coming off the books. They had more than enough money to big high on Werth, Maggy was their second option.
  15. Ordonez isn't a one year option. Detroit reportedly already is considering 2 years, and that's the team he wants to go back to. I see him costing more than he should, but it won't be world-ending if he doesn't perform.
  16. Even if the Yankees add Lee, I think the Sox have a leg up on rotation if Pettite does in fact retire. Lineups will probably be a push, with a slight edge lost by the Sox because of C. Bullpens are a complete question mark.
  17. My preferences 1) Ordonez 2) Manny Ramirez 3) Guerrero
  18. They do realize A-gon came in 4th for MVP in the NL last year, despite hitting in petco with that lineup, right?
  19. I repeat, we just got Adrian Gonzalez. One more time, we just got Adrian Gonzalez. What on earth does anyone have to fight about?
