  1. I'm not one to watch the games, but I'm going to watch the swimming tonight. go USA!
  2. How about one of Bogarts, Barnes or Bradley for Cliff Lee? Also throw in two lesser tier prospects who could be an impact in the bullpen, like Britton, Ranaudo, Wislon, or Workman? Beckett to the Pirates in a deal similiar to the AJ Burnett deal. You pay 60% of his salary for two low level, low ceiling prospects. Lee Lester Buchholz Morales Doubrant Bullpen: Bard Bailey Melancon Tazawa etc
  3. What would be your offers for Dempster?
  4. Jose Iglesias should be up instead of Cirarco, IMO.
  5. It would mean something if you guys didn't spend 175 million yourself...
  6. Hughes has been good, but he hasn't been at ace level...
  7. I know it's not red sox, but Dodgers and Astros seem to have a deal in place for Carlos Lee. Assuming he approves it. Could make things very interesting, Lee on a good team might recharge him even more.
  8. Where would you have that cuban pitcher? i don't know much about him.
  9. Sanchez and Williams with some jacks today. I did a top 10 for the red sox, it's about mid season in the minors so here's my top yankees list 1. Mason Williams- Proving he can hit in full season ball. A four and a half tool guy, still working on the power but it's showing signs of life. 2. Gary Sanchez- Basically 1A. You can sit here all day and flip these guys in order. Sanchez is an exciting prospect, I just hope we don't trade him for Trevor Bauer in two years and Bauer has to be out with TJS or shoulder surgery. 3. Manny Banuelos- Not that I don't like Manny any less but Williams and Sanchez have produced this year. I still believe in Manny and IMO he's still a top 40, maybe even top 30/35 prospect in the game but he just needs to focus on getting healthy. 4. Jose Campos- My favorite prospect and someone I can see coming back 100% and being the best piece in the Montero/Pineda trade. Ace type arm. 5. Tyler Austin- The guy just hits, I hope he can advance(with Sanchez) to Tampa and prove himself worthy at that level by the end of the season. 6. Rafael DePaula- Very exciting prospect. Having some family trouble right now, wish him the best with that. Power arm, gotta respect him. 7. Bryan Mitchell- Another personal favorite. Power arms are always nice. Having a good year, although could be better.(IMO he could be a top 3 in the system next year) 8. Ty Hensley- I almost put him 7th. Also I'm assuming he signs. Very excited about his arm, I think we got great value with this pick. 9. Dante Bichette Jr- Up and Down year, but still having a fine first full season. No problems with the 2011 first round selection. 10. Angelo Gumbs- Overlooked, maybe its cause his stats don't make you jizz yourself but he's very young still and holding his own. The SB and solid contact stills are very exciting, if things start to click... could be dangerous for other teams with his bat speed. 11. Slade Heathcott- MY BOY! Always have and always will be a Slade fan. Wish him a healthy rest of the year. 12. Matt Tracy- Having a really good year. He doesn't get the hype others do, but he's a nice prospect. 13. Austin Aune- Million dollar bonus baby for a reason. 14. Ravel Santana- Health is the key with him to fullfilling his five tool potential. 15. Mark Montgomery- This time next year he could be a key in our bullpen. Strikeout machine, good stuff. 16. Dellin Betances- I'm not this down on Dellin, but I'm just higher on others. 17. Austin Romine 18. JR Murphy 19. Greg Bird 20. Brett Marshall 21. Adam Warren 22. Taylor Morton 23. Ronnie Mustelier 24. Nathan Mikolas 25. Nik Turley- Probably too low but I forgot about him. 26. Ramon Flores- Coming around lately. 27. Daniel Camarena 28. Peter O'Brien 29. Chase Whitley 30. Cito Culver
  10. About halfway through the minor league year.... Here's my red sox list. 1. Barnes- having a great year. Could be in the rotation in 2014. 2. Xander- I've actually been a fan of his for a long time, even before it was the trendy thing to do. 3. Cecchini- Liked him from day one too. Personal favorite. 4. Lavarnway- Looking like a solid replacement at DH. 280/20 homeruns. Could be nice as a 6th/7th hitter. 5. Jacobs- Another personal favorite. Really like him. 6. JBJ- I'm not really a fan, but giving him some respect since he's having a really good season. -I think here the system takes a drop off in talent, a good system though.- 7. Alex Wilson- looking like a solid 5th starter or even nice 7th inning arm. 8. Swihart- Not the best year, but still have to respect the ceiling. 9. Iglesias- Obviously a great glove, horrible bat. 10. De La Cruz- I like this guy. a sleeper for sure
  11. Even if the sox do well and turn it on, they still should call up Lavarnway and bench or trade Salty.
  12. Good job Tex. Anyway, I would love to target Heyward in trade talks. Might be able to get him a little cheaper since he hasn't been great in two years. Might be good to get him to a new team.
  13. That wasn't just about Mo, it was a statement about this year. I've never seen a year where the organization as a whole get hurt like the Yankees this year. 7 of their top 10 prospects have been hurt as well as guys in the majors and other prospects in the system.
  14. Campos on the 7 day dl after his last start where he got hit hard. No word on whats wrong. Year of the injuries for the Yankees. wow. From top to bottom.
  15. Man am I sick today. Ugh, anyone but Mo. I wish it was my knee. What kind of luck are we having this year? Freak accidents left and right. I pray he can come back next year and wants to.
  16. When it rains it pours. the year of the DL continues as Mo was just carted off the field after hurting his right knee shagging fly balls.
  17. Cito Culver who has been on fire as of late will miss a few games due to his grandpa dying, who was like his dad growing up. RIP and hope he can come back and pick up where he left off.
  18. For the life of me, I don't understand that. If we start Garcia again, we need more changes than just with the rotation.
  19. The good news, someone will probably murder Garcia before he exits the stadium. Can't see how he can keep getting the ball after this. He just has nothing left.
  20. Turley and Nuding are doing work in Tampa. I think come June DePaula will be a Riverdog, William Oliver will get a bump up to Tampa, hopefully Cotham will be in Tampa by then too. Nuding and Turley get a bump up yo Trenton and Romanski gets slotted into a bullpen spot. No need to rush Mitchell or Campos too.
  21. Well we just disagree on this, no big deal I guess.
  22. ok I forgot about Barnes but they're close there.... but Lavarnway, Kalish, Jacobs, Swihart and Brentz... you're out of your f***ing mind. You actually shouldn't be allowed to talk about prospects in public anymore if you seriously think Brentz is a better prospect than Campos.
