  1. Pirates fans seem to agree on they'd give Cashman three options, 10 million and Bryan Morris, 14 million and victor black or 16.5(50/50 split) and Andrew Lambo. I think I'd just go for the Lambo package just due to money and maybe you hit gold with a busted prospect or maybe you get just that a busted prospect.
  2. Pirates agreed to take on 10 million with AJ's contract. Yankees seeking for them to pick up about 16 million and send an ok prospect back. According to https://twitter.com/#!/JonHeymanCBS
  3. Yankees are asking for Garret Jones from the Pirates for AJ. I say if the Pirates want him pay the least money as you can, who cares if you get back a bat, just unload the money.
  4. I'm liking the Bryanan signing. I would of even given him a major league deal before ibanez or matsui. I think his power numbers willl be redic but yeah not much else going on for him.
  5. Sox, yankees, rangers have a lot of what ifs too. Its the off season, every team has what ifs. You're forgetting about Morrow, who I like a lot. Lawrie is going to put up monster numbers, the jays have upside... you got to admit that. Some times things fall into place, they could easily be a 92 win team if that happens, like the red sox could if bard is able to handle being a starter and your front 3 are healthy all year.
  6. first off you took that out of context, I never said eating fast food will make you lose weight. I said if you eat it in moderation it wont make you fat. Which it will not... Second their lineup could be sick, joey bats, lawrie and then guys like escobar, snider, rasmus, jp, lind and johnson they get overlooked. They have a sick farm system and their payroll isn't maxed out. They could promote guys or make deals. They could add a matt cain if the giants sell or a grienke, etc. I brought this up with Guardians fans, fans who aren't in our division and they all agreed, most of them even said they'd finish 1st ahead of the Yankees.
  7. http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/20265/al-east-showdown-position-rankings What do y'all think?
  8. Tejeda over Higgy would be my only change. Very excited about Bird though.
  9. Gammons was his biggest fan boy. I think he said he was going to be the new Mo about 7 years ago. Can't complain about a minor league deal tho
  10. Five realistic moves I'd make... 1. AJ Burnett and $2 million for Carlos Lee. The Yankees have a glut of pitching, getting rid of AJ means someone else will have to make the pies, maybe CC, maybe Swisher, maybe Girardi haha, but bringing Lee into a winning atmosphere would do wonders. I'm not saying he'll be an all star but I think his bat could help this team and he could play RF or even 1B in a pinch. Astros could use AJ to help stamblize their rotation. Meyers, Norris, Burnett, Happ and Weiland. They could shop Rodriguez around then, maybe to the Red Sox or even kick the struggling Happ out of the rotation and move him into the bullpen. 2. Claim Adrian Cardenas, in a corresponding move DFA Pena. 3. Sign Michael Wuertz to a minor league deal with an invite to ST. This guy was once a very good RP, I can't believe he's still out there but I'd be willing to go in for a 800K deal if he makes the majors with incentives to boost it up to 1.5 million. 4. Re-sign Eric Chavez. Most of the Yankee fans want him back, can you blame them? $1.5 million deal. DFA Pedro Felicaino to make room for Chavez, he's a lost cause just eat the $4 million. 5. Sign Jorge Soler. I'd be fine with a 5 year $18-22 million deal. Replaces Montero kind of in terms of adding another impact bat to our system.
  11. Oswalt looks like he'll be a Cardinal. https://twitter.com/#!/Jim_Duquette/status/163087715208925185 I guess it's Gavin Flyod time? I think Kenny targets Brandon Jacobs(young, african american OF... seems to be his fetish along with anyone who can throw faster than 96 mph) and Wilson, but I think he'll settle for Brentz and Wilson for Flyod.
  12. Well they are basically risk factors but risks that gauge if they will reach what they think they will be. take banuelos for instance he's a 65, so the comp grade they give him is a Matt Cain type. He's a medium 'risk' so medium means still some work to do to turn tools into major league caliber skills.
  13. 75 to 80 is arod, pujols, jeter type player. 65 to 70 is cain, utley type goes down from there. Yeah I guess kind of risk, extreme is for ifa and guys with major injury risk. High is for new draftees types and safe would be its a lock they'll be that. Like harper would be a 50safe. Cause he's basically gaurenteed to be a solid bench guy at least
  14. Cleveland is the ghetto but columbus is one of the nicest places in the us. Well the polaris area.
  15. I got the new BA Handbook in the mail today! They have the Yankees at 6th best overall farm system, where the Red Sox are 10th. So congrats to both systems, good talent all around. Yankees list, is.... (and if you don't want me to spoil it don't read) Banuelos 65 Medium Betances 65 High Sanchez 60 High Williams 60 High Campos 60 high Bichette Jr 60 high Santana 60 High Romine 50 Low Murphy 55 High Slade 60 Extreme Marshall 50 High Culver 50 High(it's so confusing how he was rated this high on the list) Flores 50 High Gumbs 50 High Warren 45 Low DJ Mitchell 45 low Bryan Mitchell 55 Extreme Laird 45 Low Almonte 45 Medium Austin 50 High(no idea why he was this low) Phelps 45 Medium Nuding 50 High Montgomery 50 High Cave 50 High Custodio 50 Extreme Adams 50 Extreme Turley 45 High Bird 50 Extreme Whitley 45 High Pinder 45 High Bonus was Tejeda 50 Extreme In case you were wondering, Montero got 70 Low, Harper 80 Low and Trout 75 low. Sox top ten got Middlebrooks 60 Med Xander 65 high swihart 65 high ranaudo 55 med Brentz 55 med jacobs 55 med cecchini 60 high barnes 55 med lavarnway 50 low Bradley 55 med
  16. I'm not asking for a stud here, in terms of the Yankees I'd take someone like Eduardo Sosa. The money would be to off set the third year Soriano has.
  17. Rangers have more questions in their rotation. Darvish is a question mark coming over to the states. Holland increased his innings by over 71 innings last year. Matt Harrison increased his inings by 37 as well. Feliz is moving back to the rotation from the pen, after being bounced around much like Joba. You act like the Rangers are the greatest team ever created cause they have all sure fire things. They don't, they have just as many question marks, if not more than the Yankees and Tigers.
  18. Hughes and Laird for Pedro Alveraz and Garrit Jones? Burnett for Lee, has been my dream since we trade for Pineda. I wouldn't mind Soriano for Burnett, if the Cubs picked up the extra cash and threw in a C prospect with decent upside. I'd stay as far as I could from Bay. Buying low on Brandon Allen from the A's could be a nice get or even see if they would be willing to part with Daric Barton.
  19. Well I look at the Yankees, Tigers, Rangers... and see teams with no real holes in their teams. Their bullpens are solid to great. Their lineups are now jammed packed and their rotations are some of the best in the AL. Obviously every team can improve but these three are pretty well set. Where as the Rays have some holes in their lineup and bullpen. The Sox with their lineup and rotation and the Angels with their lineup and bullpen.
  20. So you don't think the Yankees are one of the best teams in the AL right now? What would be your ranking of the top 4?
