  1. I'd try to hold onto Judge, Bird, Serevino, and Mateo. Sanchez is playing well in the AFL after a great regular seaosn. I might try to trade him while his value is high. Torrens will be back next year as well, and I look forward to seeing how he progresses. Not sure who I'd go for at the moment though, haven't given it too much thought.
  2. So what would you do? Trades and free agent signings? I'd put a lot of players on the block, we are in a unique situation, much like the red sox are. They just have more younger talent to deal. I'd put Gardner, Pineda, Headley, and even Tex on the block. Not saying I'd give these guys away, but I'd field offers for them. I wouldn't sign any free agents, except Cesepedes, but I think the Mets will blow their load on him, so meh. I'd like Upton, but he's going to cash in. I could see him to the Mariners for a Robbie Cano type deal, no thanks. i'm not a huge fan of Heyward either. Price, no thanks. I'd also cash in on Adam Warren, he's making next to nothing and we were able to get pretty good pieces for Greene and Phelps last year. I'd try something different and let the kids play a little. Refsnyder at 2B and Severino getting a SP slot. I'd try my best to get Nova a rotation spot as well, contract year and he strikes me as someone who loves money. I'm willing to bet my own money he turns in a solid year. Of course if you can trade him along with prospects for Neil Walker, do it. I want to see Judge up towards the end of July too. He needs more time in Triple-A. I think Jose Pirela is a pretty nice trade piece in a bigger deal too, but he's also excellent minor league depth. I'd try to hold onto him. Should be fun to watch some of these guys get a chance. I want to see an extended look at Heathcott and Williams as well, but not counting on them for anything. Everyone is so hard after Krimbral. I love him and I'd love to have him, but I think we can get our bullpen together from within. I say Kimbral gets dealt to the Red Sox for Devers and Bradley Jr, maybe one other piece, like Brock Holt.
  3. Refsnyder has been hitting well lately, hope to see him in the lineup more and more and ride his hot bat. Not saying he'll be a star but got to let these guys hit when they're getting hits.
  4. I'd like to see Heathcott get some ABs. Always liked him, has some good talent but just gets hurt. He's healthy now, time to time to steady bat a little until he busts out.
  5. Wasn't posted, but the Yankees are sending some pretty good talent to the AFL this year. Wade, Sanchez, Jagielo, and Fowler from the position player side and Webb and Hebert from the pitching side. We can send two additional pitchers too. I think Lindgren might be one of them depending on his health. Excited to see the hitters for sure though. Probably four of our top 8 hitters in the system. Wade and Fowler both had excellent years, Wade having a breakout year imo. Jags was in the midst of a good season, but got hurt. It'll be nice to see him get the extra ABs. Sanchez of course had a good year himself too.
  6. Severino looks great for a 21 year old, but he's not an ace yet. He needs to adjust and learn more. Looks like he's learning a little but still needs to refine stuff. He's not pitching all that smart, trying to hit corners on POS hitters who he should attack. I know that is easy to correct though. It will be interesting to see where he slots in a play off rotation.
  7. I'm actually pretty sad about it. I watched a few red sox games over the past 7 years and him and Remy seemed like a great pairing. Sad to see him go, but hopefully he can pick up a job elsewhere.
  8. Yeah Pettitte shouldn't of had his number retired. Last night game, I didn't get to see but I'm glad I didn't. We won, but that was a s***** game. Nate's really been doing well though.
  9. hell no to Cueto and Price would be too much. I can see the Dodgers handing him a 250 million deal. I mean who are you going to deal off? Tanaka? I would hold onto Eovaldi, he might be our best starter. Nova will net us a draft pick the following year, but I wouldn't mind seeing what he could bring back. obviously I'd love to see CC gone. You have to have Warren above Mitchell in the roto though too.
  10. I actually like our mix at the moment. After next year CC and Nova will be gone, but I think we'll have enough to cover those loses. Starsburg and maybe Cashner interest me in that free agent class.
  11. Watching Greg Bird play has been a treat. He looks like a vet, glad Cashman brought him up. I could see him as a 290 hitter with a 360 obp with 25-30 homeruns, maybe a 35 homerun season once or twice in his career.
  12. Wow left him in, I didn't think Joe would do that. I'm excited to see Severino tomorrow. He seems to of built on his first start, hopefully he can build again. Tanaka was impressive today.
  13. Shouldn't be, I hope Joe uses Warren as the closer. Give Shreve and Wilson some rest too.
  14. Damn I feel like a Red Sox fan after that game last night (no offense). Worst game of the season.
  15. Like what I've seen from Pinder. I think he has the best chance to make an impact this year out of all the young bullpen arms that have come through. Next year is going to look pretty impressive though. Hopefully Servino comes up and has some good starts. Really like him and Mitchell.
  16. Cashman's hard at work. Ackley for Flores and Ramirez. I don't mind Ramirez since we have like 20 guys ahead of him on the RP chart, but I'd rather of traded Gamel. I just hope this ends the Drew days in New York. Not saying Ackley will be better though
  17. Or the Jays come in and take him haha. Jays are looking really good. Still I think it'd take one more pitcher, maybe Gallardo for them to be better
  18. Dodgers basically got Price last night dude. Peraza plus prospects for him will be the deal, just watch.
  19. I wouldn't mind if we sat out this year's trade deadline. I like our team right now, minus Drew. I'd love to see Refs getting time at 2B, but I can't complain. Our bullpen is top 3 in baseball. Our rotation is pretty good, with good depth at the moment. CC isn't doing his part but it's not like we are going to cut his salary. Nate, Hero, Nova, and Pineda are doing their thing. Pretty happy with how things are working out right now though. Zobrist was the guy I wanted and now he's gone.
  20. Whats your trade offer for him? I'm just curious to see how you guys value him.
  21. Eovaldi is actually worth keeping in the rotation. If he can hammer out some kinks he could be really good.
  22. Almost halfway through the season now. I'd say the farm breaks down as.... 1. Severino. Having probably the best season so far among Yankee prospects. Looks like we finally have an Ace in the making. 2. Judge, had him #1 before the season. He's having a powerful season. In Triple-A now too. I hope we don't call him up. I believe he needs some time in Triple-A before the show. Here's were it gets tricky.... 3. Sanchez, Turning it around before he got hurt. Should be back soon though. He's having a really solid season and he's so young. Defense is getting better and no long in the Jesus Montero mold. 4. Mateo. He's so young and he's holding his own and his speed is among the tops in baseball. 5. Jagielo, I could see him in Triple-A soon too. He's having a come back season but he ended up getting hurt. I hope he can come back and finish strong. 6. Bird, Putting up less than solid numbers right now but I still love his potential. 7. Wade, this is a bull ranking but you can't say he's not hitting and he's putting up excellent SB numbers. 8. Kaprielian. I think we sign him and I truly believe he can pitch and will pitch well but he hasn't thrown a pitch so I don't have him higher. He could be 6th on some lists. 9. Refsnyder, He's hit in Triple-A, going through a rough patch now and his fielding was horrible but it's kind of leveled off now. 10. Jake Cave. personal favorite. I'd have Mitchell here since I think he has the stuff to be in the majors and produce in the majors.
  23. I was sure we'd sign one of the best free agent starting pitchers this winter, but I think we're in great shape at the moment. Tanaka and Pineda both are having ace-like seasons and of course have ace-like stuff. Eovaldi has been extremely unlucky, but is still putting up solid numbers. He's only 25 and the youngest guy in the rotation. Warren has been excellent as well and is building off his great 2014 season out of the bullpen. CC is meh. Nova's reports are pretty good hitting 95 mph in minor league games. I wouldn't move Warren out of the rotation though. This off season we could even see the Yankees dangle a guy like Warren or Eovaldi in a trade. Whitely should be back June 2016 as well. Mitchell and Servino are pitching well in Triple-A. Good depth right now. Even after trading Phelps and Greene and saying our goodbyes to McCarthy and Kuroda. Wish there was some way we could dump CC.
  24. If the Yankees are able to sign their top 4 picks, where do you think they'd slot into the rankings?
  25. Looks like we are going with low underslot guys on day two other than Finley. I think all three day one guys should sign underslot, with Holder saving us about 800k. We should be able to go apeshit on day three.
