  1. Guys who have seen their stock rise: Jose Ramirez, Gabe Encias, Rob Refsnyder, JR Murphy, and a SSS but Jake Cave. Holding their own: Sanchez(Good power numbers although I'd like to see more balls put in play) and Tyler Austin(Coming around lately, finally adjusting to double-A I think) Guys who have seen their stock fall: Dellin Betances(I think any hope for him as a starter is dead and gone) Heathcott, Mason Williams(Not doing as well as I'd hoped), and Rondon(After a great ST he's been horrible moving to the rotation)
  2. Let the money burn haha. It's a shame this money could of been spent on something more useful like warm clothes for the homeless, education for african americans, or maybe a 3B... hmm
  3. Well I'm sure the price for that insurance was pretty high. I remember the Yankees only ended up paying Pavano $11.35 million of his $39.95 million deal. Granted that was only a four year deal and 40 million, not 270 million.
  4. Not void. collect the insurance as a career ending injury. He sits out a year and then comes back in 2014 with a different team, but idk we'll see.
  5. Hell Yes. I don't think they'll void it, but it seems like if he sits out this year and they can pay a doctor off they can buy him out for 15% and insurance will pick up the rest of his deal. Which would be like Christmas morning for the Yankees.
  6. Rob Bradford ‏@bradfo Hearing #Yankees might be close to deal with Travis Hafner Nice, assuming it's a low based salary. Something around 2 or 2.5 million.
  7. Yeah Santana has a ton more talent than Culver and I believe he had a better year too, but yet Culver is 28th. It's just politics imo since Culver is more of a name than Santana.
  8. Watch Frank Montas and Manuel Margot this year. I like both of them. As well as Jacobs to rebound. IMHO, I see Cecchini, Brentz, Iglesias and Workman/Wilson being used as trade fodder as the Red Sox try to push themselves back into the hunt come July.
  9. BA's 11-31 Yankees list. Some surprises for me. Joseph 27th, I'd put him a tad higher. Same with Black. Goody and Cote not listed is a puzzler for me. 11. Montgomery 12. Flores 13. Mitchell 14. Turley 15. Murphy 16. Ramirez 17. Romine 18. Mesa 19. Betnances 20, Aune 21. Bichette Jr 22. Bird 23. Adams 24. Warren 25. Black 26. Tracy 27. Joseph 28. Culver 29. Kahnle 30. Encinas 31. Santana
  10. Soriano Clippard Storen Garcia Nats must love ex-Yankees. They're probably rock hard for Boone Logan.
  11. If I had to bet, I'd say the Sox sign a college pitcher, best left on the board.
  12. "Robby as is and the pick plus the money in the draft would be worth more than Granderson would be in a trade. " I kind of took that as weighing Cano and the pick vs just letting grandy go. I'm all for trading Cano though, and Granderson for that matter.
  13. Are you saying Granderson wouldn't get an offer next year?
  14. Three team trade idea... Yankees get Justin Upton and Brendan Ryan. M's get Curtis Granderson DBacks get Ivan Nova(Whom Towers loves), Nick Franklin, Eddie Nunez, and Charlie Furbush.
  15. Guardians, Cubs, Red Sox, and M's are his NT teams. What about a three team deal? Ellsbury to the M's. Upton to the Red Sox Barnes, Owens, Furbush and Franklin to the DBacks? sox make his 2016 contract year a player option year to make him accept the deal.
  16. Let's just say youre Friedman, whats your offer for Stanton?
  17. Rays don't have the best rotation around... and even if they did they'd have to trade at least Hellickson but probably Moore to get him thus making their rotation even weaker. I think the O's would make the most sense to land him, Rangers next, followed by the M's, but Stanton won't be traded this year unless the O's start their offer out with Machado and Bundy which I doubt they will, but who knows what could happen.
  18. Is that you Buck?! Not hating on the O's but I think they won't make the playoffs this year, but I do respect what they have done this year.
  19. I saw the Red Sox will have a 175/180 million payroll, assuming the Napoli deal gets done, but I look at them and say where did they spend their money? Same thing with the Yankees and their 205 million payroll, it really makes me appreciate what lower market teams can do. anyways I think they have a shot at one of the wild cards. I believe the Yankees, Rangers, A's, and Red Sox will battle it out for those two spots and I like the Yankees and Rangers chances at grabbing those two spots.
  20. It's still early... Moves could be made, but I think we stick with Romine at catcher. Martin had some good power numbers and framed pitches well, but he wasn't a uber hitter. I'd feel fine if Romine was given a shot.
  21. Swisher signs with the Guardians, good for him. He was not only one of Brian Cashman's best moves ever, he was a great addition to the club. Always enjoyed Nick from November to September every year!
  22. Red Sox are interested in Joel Hanarahan of the Pirates. I think a deal could be struck similar to the Bailey deal. Kalish, Cecchini, and Buttrey. Sox get a closer, Pirates get an extra outfielder who they could give a shot to compete, a solid 3B prospect and a guy they can dream on in Buttrey.
  23. Good for the Jays though. Their fans have been waiting a long time to contend and they're not all jackasses either. I saw it could be TDA and Gose for Dickey and maybe something else. i wonder if the Jays try and go after a RP now. Maybe Joel Hanrahan
  24. I'm sorry I meant Cabral, not Cabrera. I'd sign Perez to a guaranteed deal, DFA Spence or Rondon.
