  1. CC, Pineda, and Nate are top 10 in BABIP this year. Just some bad luck for three our of SPs.
  2. hate the draft, hope the Yankees pick betts, Everett, or Matuella with their 2nd rounder. I'd rather just sign big name free agents to large contracts that will be crushing to the team 3 years in than draft Holder.
  3. I hope we take Whitely and Everett with our two picks. That'd be insane. Really hope we get Whitely though.
  4. CC with a solid outing. Liked the fire he showed today, hopefully he can take that into his next start. It's about time things started to click for us, Pineda gets a day of rest too.
  5. Must have blown through his bonus money on whores and coke.
  6. Slade is doing well, I hope they keep giving him ABs. Jacob pitched alright in his first inning. You can tell he was a little amped up, which I don't have a problem with being it was his first game. Yankees have a few young guys we can get excited about, even though we are losing, it's exciting to watch. I hope they give Ref a chance at 2B soon and if Cappy shits the bed one more time... Bryan Mitchell for the 5th starter slot.
  7. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/mlb-mock-draft-2015-version-3-0/ Yankees have been connected to Betts, Stewart, Nikorak, and Kaprielian. I'd be happy if we got two of those. I'd go for Betts and Nikorak with my picks. With our large pool, we might even be able to snag a pretty solid pick with our second rounder too.
  8. If I'm Cashman I'd swing a deal with the Padres. I'd deal off Garret Jones, Rookie Davis, and Diego Moreno for Jedd Gyorko and cash. Why the Padres should do it: They can shed salary in Gyorko who has been horrible and signed long term. Jones could get more playing time with Alonso hurt and he's probably better suited to pinch hit. They get a solid arm in Davis who could bloom into a 3rd starter for an NL team. Moreno throws gas and is putting up good numbers in Triple-A. Why the Yankees should do it: They can dream on Gyorko and hope he can regain some of his shine. I'd like to see the Padres pay $3 million in 2019, $2 million in 2018, and $1 million in 2017 of his salary. I'd install Gyorko in Triple-A for a few weeks and then bring him up. Yankees can take the extra salary and not even bat an eye.
  9. Lindgren velocity is way down. Bird is hurt, he's not warming up. Jags is smashing but thats about it. I did sat Judge and Mateo are doing well. As are Williams and Slade. Just injuries have destroyed the system this year.
  10. Really disappointing season so far from our minor league view. Lots of injuries and Bird, Sanchez, and Austin have really not done anything. German, Torrens, Bird, and Hensley getting hurt really sucked too. Judge has smashed though and Refs is coming around. Williams and Heathcott are having throwback years. Is Clarkin hurt or ? Mateo and Wade have been excellent too.
  11. Hopefully Tanaka can return and be healthy. Pined and him would be a hell of a 1-2 punch in the playoffs. Would love to see Nova come back strong too, he has some good stuff. Maybe not ace but a decent second starter
  12. Wouldn't mind Pineda for the 8th and then Carp for the 9th here. It'll be nice to see Pirela in the lineup tomorrow though.
  13. Miller wasn't going to be used. The game was f***ed, but it wasn't due to the bullpen. I would of put Whitely back out there for the 8th until he got into trouble.
  14. Not interested in seeing Servino up this year. I'd like to see Lindgren up though.
  15. in this marker do you think you'll be able to sign two top pitchers next year? Mark it down Astros will sign one. Dodgers aren't going to let Grienke walk and at least not replace him. Yankees will probably be hot and heavy after Fister.
  16. Yankees made some pretty good moves this winter. They stayed away from big free agents, although they got Miller he wasn't a bank buster. Trading Banuelos for Carp and Sherve was a little weird since we had so much bullpen depth but its paying off. I just wish Joe would use Carp more often. Signing Martin and keeping Rodgers has paid off. Only thing different I would of done was sign that Cuban SS you guys got. Yankees need to have a really good draft this year though. I'd like to see what kind of trades Cashman has up his sleeve. I like the way he is handling it though. Trading Greene and Phelps, losing Tanaka and the rotation is still in pretty good shape.
  17. Kind of excited to see Pirela coming back. I hope Joe uses him at 2B and we can see what he can do. I think he'll have one or two more games in triple-A
  18. thats my bad i didn't see how good Rodriguez has been! Def would need two of those three and another pretty good piece though
  19. Yeah I'm surprised I don't see Johnson replace Miley. Barnes called and insered into the closer role and the Red Sox go hard after Hamels with Owens, Margot, and Rodriguez. Hamels Bucholz Porcello Kelly Johnson Not too bad at all.
  20. Honestly, I think our bullpen is such a strength we could deal, Dellin. I know youre going to say thats crazy but his value is sky high, he's cheap, has great stuff, and under team control. I think RAB had an article about it too. We could add some very nice pieces from a team like the Cubs or Pirates who could use more depth in their bullpen. Even without Dellin our bullpen could be great with... Miller- Closer Set-Up men- Carp, Warren, Wilson 6th inning/project - Bailey Shrieve/Pazos/Pinder/Rogers Long man I'd still go with Capauno, with Mitchell in the 5th slot in the rotation.
  21. Well Young will be the 4th outfielder, I think he'll do a fine job with that.
  22. Idk, the more i see either Hal is trying to cut payroll or Cashman is making room for another piece. Prado saved us a few million, Kelley as well. It'd be nice if we gave Wilson and Webb or Rumblelow a shot though. I'd love if the pitching staff was... Tanaka Pineda Sabathia Eovaldi Mitchell Soriano (signed to a one year/$5 to 7 million deal) Dellin - 7th/8th Miller - 7th/8th Wilson - Lefty Rogers - MR Whitley - MR/Long (Unless Pinder or someone else impresses in ST) Capuano - Long Soriano shits the bed, Dellin and Miller step up to the plate.
  23. you doing your top 20 prospects for the yankees this winter?
  24. Wasn't a Phelps fan and I thought he was expendable, but I really liked Prado and was looking forward to seeing a full year of him. Yankees still have a very high payroll, RAB puts them at 232 before this deal, so we probbaly saved $5 million. Two lottery tickets for Prado, I'm kind of meh to that. Basically phelps for jones imo then
  25. I'm not saying they can't handle it, I'm just saying dellin and miller in the 7th and 8th could be devastating and have a hopefully rebounded Romo in the 9th. Really shorten up the game.
