  1. I imagine that Lester would still have a reasonably high trade value. Beckett...well that's another story. Then again we don't have a great history with a lot of trades anyway.
  2. Plus Theo knows are system so it's not like we can do a Texas switch and sell high on some overrated prospect. We'd have to overpay and overpay dearly for an overrated pitcher as it is. If we do get Garza we might lead the league in spits/inning.
  3. Thanks a lot for getting that damn Ke$ha song back in my head. :harhar:
  4. By that logic I should never listen to my girlfriend when she talks.
  5. Just for the heck of it (and that YOTN complimented my avatar) I'll throw my name in the ring for changing my signature to ANYTHING he chooses, if he is right.
  6. If you're any stiffer for any longer you're going to be extremely blue in the morning...and I don't mean that you're sad.
  7. I bet it's not the only "small" item in there. Cold?
  8. I can assure everyone that my return has nothing to do with this. I'd only spam the board with hot naked women, because I do things the right way.
  9. I only wish the trolls would use new pics every time. The pics aren't so bad the first time, but seeing them again gets annoying.
  10. For reference, just go to the top left "User CP", then go to "Edit Ignore List" (on the left) and type in the user name and you're set. It's not effective for ignoring argumentative trolls, but for graphic/stupid stuff like this it'll do.
  11. That means he isn't walking much.
  12. Sox are winning 100% of the games in which they score more runs than their opponents.
  13. I'd like to throw Crawford some sympathy, but he'd probably miss that too.
  14. It's an inexact science. Over the course of the years there will be tough judgment calls made when someone who's been here for years makes a post and doesn't get banned because of a good track record where a newer poster might not get the benefit of the doubt from a similar post. Heck, most people who have been here for a year or two have been banned in one way or another. It's a tough job policing the boards and I appreciate the (general) leeway given in situations where a permaban may be in discussion. While I wish people around here wouldn't drop like flies, I believe that everything happens for a reason. For example, if I didn't get banned from Soxprospects back in 2008 I probably never would have come here. Or I'd never have grown up in my forum behavior which would have led to me getting perma banned years ago for fighting GOM, JE, or Crespo. Then again if I got permabanned here I never would have met a particular girl who took the will to live away from me. I guess I'm here for better or for worse.
  15. This is one of the few times a season I miss Suns.
  16. I figure that this entire season has been a pessimism thread. The Red Sox could pay these ridiculous salaries by selling Red Sox brand antidepressants.
  17. I do feel better knowing that Erik Bedard is 0-4 despite a 2.62 ERA. That's what you get for going to Pittsburgh.
  18. I'm Americanized but I'm from the UK and often go there. Welcome mate.
  19. Piranha's generally aren't a threat to humans. There have been studies proving that they generally won't go after humans due to the "big fish vs. little fish" theory. Most isolated bite incidents come when there is low water levels, and near the docks of fishing areas where fish are gutted and fish entrails spill into the water. While an occasional piranha bite may occur, they typically won't swarm which would give you plenty of time to get out. I don't think there have been many (if any) recorded human deaths due to piranhas. In fact the whole Theodore Roosevelt thing was a setup where natives specifically starved piranhas and threw them in a concentrated (blocked off) tributary and threw the cow in. http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt38/italstallianion/themoreyouknow.gif
  20. Not to mention that Boston easily has one of the better defenses in the league.
  21. I wish that there were more specific poll options with regards to the quality of the pitcher we pick up. We'll pick up someone like Padilla to compete with a dozen others for the 5th starter spot and leave someone like Oswalt to sign a bargain deal elsewhere.
  22. Give homie a break, English is probably his second language. I'm sure if we all had an SAP feature Iortiz would make more sense.
