    I'm a bit torn on getting rid of Tito, but I can accept it. I'm not happy to see Theo go, but if we can get rid of Lackey in the process (saving some money and a lot of runs) then by all means I can get on board with the deal. I had no idea that we could trade front office people for players. If we can either dump Lackey and save a lot of money, or dump Lackey and save a little money and pick up a player/prospect, then I think that's worth a new GM. Not to mention if Lackey is the true cancer that has been reported, we'd be without a lot of those "troublemakers" next season. Think of a Red Sox team without Lackey, Drew, Varitek, and Wakefield. That's what I call addition by subtraction.

    Which Mike Williams? The really tall one from Seattle that's sucking, or the former rookie from Tampa Bay that's sucking really hard and is about to get dropped from my fantasy team. I can't believe I drafted him before Wes Welker.

    It was NFL, but I can start it earlier. I'd like to start it in a couple weeks after my licensing exam (I don't feel good about it at all at this point) but it'll depend on how many people join and if anyone in the league has any opinions or input.

    We're up to 8 teams at the moment. While I planned on starting this after the season, I'd be more than happy to start it sooner if people are interested. We'd just need a few more (ideally 4-8) more teams before we get started.

    Your team has some nice pieces, but this year hasn't been a good look for some of your guys. I do think you took advantage of the fact that nobody else really cares about the Bills, because you got some good players from an otherwise anonymous team.

    Hopefully there will be plenty of names in the hat in the near future. If demand skyrockets we'll have to start it sooner. Not that I mind.

    Hey guys, I wanted to gauge interest for a football redraft. The last one we did had 15 different teams and the voting lasted all the way until we had a winner (Yankees228 was the winner beating my team in the finals) Now we have some new posters on Talksox and Talkpats so I think this would work. Especially on Talkpats where a lot of the posters have a clear football interest, so people here might actually know how to build a team. (In the last redraft we had to explain the difference between a 4-3 and a 3-4 defense) My idea was to do the redraft at the end of this season, and we'd draft players to build a team with for the coming season. There'd be backups in case of injury, and plenty of room for discretion when building your offense, defense and special teams. I'm thinking somewhere between 12-16 teams will be ideal.     For the record, now that I have a full time job (and am studying for a licensing exam, although that will be over before this starts) I don't have nearly as much time anymore. That said, I will be more than happy to run it. It won't run nearly as fast as the baseball redraft I did, but I'm sure it can run smoothly if we all cooperate. I was looking to run this on Talkpats to draw more traffic for the site. Signups can be on Talksox.

    Would you guys be interested in doing one of these before the beginning of next season? We have a lot of new people that joined since this draft, so we can get some new blood in here. I think we should do the draft on TalkPats though, and we should start after this season. Would anyone be interested?

    I agree with your general point, although I'd argue that all of that beer and fried chicken can be bad for your system and inhibit your physical abilities later on which may or may not have contributed to the September collapse. That said, I'd buy every player a few kegs and an offseason of Popeye's chicken once the season is over. Some players (CC Sabathia with Captain Crunch, Miguel Cabrera, Mo Vaughn) can damn near eat themselves out of the league.

    I don't think it was the best "30 for 30" as there were a lot of good ones, but I really liked this one. They did one about the Sox in 2004, one about Ricky Williams, an Oklohoma fb player (for some reason I can't remember the name, something like Marcus Dupree), the South Africa rugby team (think Invictus) Allen Iverson, the early stages of fantasy football, and they might have done one about Len Bias, but I'm not sure. I think I watched all of the original 30 for 30 movies.

    I actually wanted Theo to stay, I'm not sure of who we'd be able to get to replace him. Tito I wasn't as worried about replacing.

    I've been playing Sporcle for years. I haven't checked it out recently since I don't have the time anymore, but Sporcle got me through a few years of college.

    I've seen girls on "My Super Sweet 16" act like less of a diva then Youkilis. He whines about everything. He whined about Ellsbury going to AZ for treatment of some sort while injured instead of staying with the clubhouse the entire time, and that wasn't even this season. (Although Youk whined about it this season) I still think that he's important to the team, but if we can get good value from trading him, and a reliable option to replace him at 3B, then I say get him the f*** out of here. I'm fine holding onto Ortiz for a little while longer, but Wakefield, Varitek, Lackey and Drew should all be gone before next season. (Wakefild due to ability, Varitek due to ability and being a jerk, Drew due to ability, being a jerk and costing too much money, and Lackey due to ability, being a jerk, costing too much money, and being a selfish arrogant diva)
