    AUG - 744 OPS SEP - 815 OPS Seeing that Campbell still doesn't have a defensive home, he needs to do more than that to get a call up.

    2003 - terrible defense, 28th in bullpen ERA (bullpen by committee), 3rd offense 2004 - terrible defense, but they win because they had a healthy starting rotation all year and the bullpen pitched lights out in the playoffs 2005 - 4th offense, terrible defense, 18th pitching staff 2007 - 2nd in team ERA, lights out bullpen, only injury was to Schilling 2011 - 2nd offense, 16th in pitching, 7th in defense 2013 - starting pitching was healthy except for Buchholz, top 10 defense 2018 - top 5 pitching staff, top 5 defense 2019 - 6th offense, 12th pitching, 5th defense I think punting on pitching would be a bad idea. They could get away with a bad defense, but would need to have a really, really great offense (which they don't have).

    I'm not sure it's even that. The guy is 25, has barely appeared in AA and has a 20 arm according to FanGraphs. They just dumped him for someone who can be a backup catcher in the org and to add a glove in ST. That's really pushing the definition of "depth."

    If it's temporary, what's the point? He's not going to be given enough time to get good enough at 2b to be worth it. He's great at CF and mediocre at 2B. Why mess with it?

    Campbell played in 88% of all games prior to being sent down, a portion of the games missed were due to a rib injury at the end of April.

    He had to go 10 deep to find Breslow last time. Nobody outside the org wanted to come here. If he fires Breslow, he won't find anyone qualified. The search will be a joke.

    JH can't get rid of Breslow as quickly as he has with the previous ones. I think Craig makes it to the mysterious year 5.

    Without Judge, they are a below .500 team. Anyone else, they can probably manage the storm somehow. Whenever he's been gone though, they've flat out stunk.

    This day and age, it's a roll of the dice with almost any pitcher. Since Suarez isn't a high velo guy, maybe he's a better bet to age well?
