Yeah... I'm still rooting for him. We'll see what happens. I think he's a smart enough ballplayer to figure it out. I just wish his defense was a tick better as it would make his floor a little higher.

History from 21/22 is that he looks strong through 6/1 and then fades.

He also had a s*** ton of talent that is no longer here. He traded some away and let some go away for free. Could have grabbed arms for those guys. All he got out of it was Winckowski.

Yorke is bottom 10 in the system for in zone contact rate with the new swing... Just something to monitor probably, but it is concerning.

The best prospects he's acquired: Whitlock Drohan Elmer Rodriguez Cruz Winckowski Luis Guerrero (reliever) Dalton Rogers Aside from that, there are no other top 30 guys in the Sox org acquired by Bloom. He's put forth a very hitter heavy farm.

AAA relief pitcher who was taken in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft. He's fine. I don't think he's a long term 40 man roster guy.

I'm not surprised, but for a "pure hitter" like Yorke, I'm surprised he's had to resort to switching up his swing already. My other concern with Yorke is the persistent health concerns.

I'm not sure he's going to hit 53 HR's, but he should be pretty good. His defense needs a little work.

Yes, we know. I'm not sure anyone on here has actually seen what Bloom has done that has added value to what was already part of the Sox organization. BOH was already here. The scouts were already here.

He's not the guy doing all the scouting. He's the guy listening to the scouting and picking from a hat. The rankings are based on the top tier talent (Rafaela, Bleis, Mayer). Rafaela is a DD guy. Bleis is a highly ranked IFA guy that Bloom didn't scout. Mayer fell into his lap. Bloom would have a higher ranked farm if he half assed his way into getting some pitching talent.

@redsoxstats Since the start of May, Casas ranks 24th/195 in xwOBA among hitters with 100+ plate appearances. Here's his closest match: Matt Olson. xwOBA combines BB%, K%, and quality of contact.

Actually, there's a good chance Durrmody passes through waivers and is sent to WOO again.

If they fire Bloom, it will have zero to do with Durrmody.

That was inevitable by simply hoarding prospects for a few years. I don't think Bloom really invented the wheel.

At some point, Column B is just a really stupid decision that makes McGuire just look ridiculous but really didn't outwardly hurt anyone but his own reputation.

Depends on how well his new swing adjusts to the higher levels of pitching. It's got a very unique timing device that could get thrown off kilter at higher levels.

Bauer was sent down to Japan's minor leagues. Couldn't hack it at their big league level.

They already have a GM (Brian O'Halloran) in place. Going without Chaim (Chief Baseball Officer) for the remainder of the year shouldn't be a big deal in theory.

1. Devers is not a 300M man. 2. Devers only has one skill: hitting. 3. Devers doesn't have a good IQ. 4. Devers is possibly immature and needs a binky. 5. Not hating on Devers though!

Just push him lower in the order. Casas has hit well over the past month though.

Joe Jacques (pronounced Jakes) being called up today. Needs to be added to the 40 man somehow. Duvall is also supposed to be added back onto the roster today as well coming of the 60 day IL.
