    "Got you two" is underselling what Sale was traded for. Moncada was the #1 prospect in baseball. Kopech was a top 30 prospect. If they were ranked on today's SoxProspects, Moncada would be 1 and Kopech would be 3rd or 4th. Anthony, Mayer or Teel would get the phone hung up on you for any conversation surrounding Burnes even if they were able to sign an extension beforehand.

    @ChrisCotillo Sources: Red Sox remain among the most aggressive on Teoscar Hernandez, who has a handful of interested teams. Angels heavily involved too. Could get a 4-year deal if bidding gets there.

    Brewers will need at least a return that's better than a comp pick, but my guess is they want a lot more.

    @tylermilliken_ According to @francysromerofr, the Red Sox remain interested in Yariel Rodriguez. Reds, Astros, Blue Jays, Pirates, and Yankees also have interest. Made some noise in the WBC after converting to starting. (7.1 IP, 2.45 ERA, 10 K, 6 BB). Tops out at 98.4.

    Also, just going by one stat is a horrible way to determine if a team is getting better or worse. We used to have a similar argument about Renfroe and replacing the 96 RBI he had.

    I wouldn't have given up? Has this FO? The rumor is that they were looking to trade Jansen. If they were bringing in Yamamoto or a top tier starter, I'd keep Jansen around. However, this is a team still on the outside looking in. At best, they are a playoff contender. If they trade a closer that had a 4.61 xFIP last season, is it the end of the world?

    They are expiring deals on older players and could bring back a good return. I think holding onto them and getting nothing in return would be a waste. Ideally they'd trade Jansen and keep Martin until the deadline pending the state of the Red Sox in late July.
