  1. Dave was President of Baseball Operations. He had a GM underneath him.
  2. I read somewhere that Ng isn't in contention for the Sox job, but that she'll probably head to Queens.
  3. No, the size of this FO is really large compared to others. Henry just has the guys he likes and doesn't want them to leave the org. The issue is that a new CBO wants to be able to have some autonomy and they won't get that here. They'll just be a cog in the machine and blamed if it goes wrong.
  4. It's at least a double bump in positions, but much less than handing the reigns to Gabe Kapler. Breslow also said he'll only take the job if nobody is above him.
  5. No trolls left behind!
  6. The strategy is sound if it works out. The concerns at the time were that Yorke was a reach. In time, that may be the case.
  7. Julian Tavares is on line 2.
  8. @alexspeier A new name in Red Sox’ search for a baseball boss: Gabe Kapler has interviewed
  9. I didn't say that was my preference, just my prediction!
  10. In the meantime, according to a major league source, the Red Sox are still waiting to hear back on requests to speak with a couple of other candidates. Teams must obtain permission to interview potential candidates currently employed by other organizations. Additionally, there are indications that another external candidate, whose identity has not been made public, has also already interviewed with the Red Sox about the role. -Sean McAdam
  11. There is a mystery outside party that has been interviewed that remains undisclosed.
  12. President of Baseball Operations: Brian Sabean GM: Eddie Romero Jr
  13. They went below slot so that they'd have more money in the 3rd round, which is how they got Blaze Jordan. If Blaze doesn't make up the difference between Yorke and the others around him in the 1st round, it was a bad decision.
  14. He signed a DH for more than that. It wasn't a budget thing so much as he didn't know how to manage the budget.
  15. Seems like most of us would take non-save Kimbrell in a heartbeat? The bigger issue may be his 3.81 Postseason ERA, 5.49 xFIP.
  16. Maybe?
  17. Hit a walkoff.
  18. I was agreeing with you.
  19. This is how I know the mods aren't here anymore.
  20. I'm not sure any of the 2023 draftees are actual SS's. They were just athletic enough to play that position for their teams. Campbell is a UTIL guy. Riemer is definitely a 2B.
  21. There is no cap in baseball.
  22. It was the indecisiveness, the inability to work with other teams/agents and the s***** record 3 out of 4 years. The indecisiveness led to the two other issues.
  23. Bloom did a much better job with the farm and drafting than Ben did. Ben's success really came off of Theo's drafts.
  24. And there was friction ever since!!!!!!!!!!!!!
