    They've already pivoted away from Snell and Montgomery. There have been NO rumors about Stroman, Clevinger or Lorenzen. The only guys we've heard about is Soler and YRod. That still seems like a bridge year to me.

    25-26 will surely be another moving target. Can't wait to root for 2027 at some point. Giolito is about kicking the can down the road at some point and has zip to do with ratings.

    And that list is just judging their own players. They have often misjudged FA classes and have failed to bring in their targets. Unless saying things like "Jose Abreu is our prime target" is just a smoke screen.

    Depressing. It is a crisis that strikes at the very heart and soul of our national will. We can see this crisis in the growing doubt of the meaning of our own lives and in the loss of unity and purpose as Red Sox Nation. The erosion of confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the social fabric of TalkSox.

    The majority of FA's that had 2 fWAR last season have signed elsewhere. From the guys that are left, who would the Sox realistically sign that could make this year not a bridge year? Montgomery Bellinger Snell Chapman Stroman Kershaw Belt Clevinger JD Theories about "just trade for a guy" will not be allowed due to BTV hate speech.

    At this point, it seems like it's 99% a bridge to '25 and pray the prospects turn out. How will they construct the rotation next year? Who knows!

    Even if you ignore the "full throttle" portion of the quote, him saying saying "we know we have to be competitive next year" and them giving us another bridge year is embarrassing.
