    We used to joke about the Sox taking a SS every year, but they should probably take one if the right guy is available. I'm sure it'll be 13 pitchers and 7 hitters again though.

    The heap of suck is just the season and the current trajectory. In order to get out of there, they can't keep doing the same thing (i.e. sticking with the same roster). Developing offensive players is too much to ask of this org these days. I think Craig used a wish with a monkey's paw to fix the pitching development and didn't realize what else could happen.

    CHW pitching is 27th in BB/9. Last night's starter is 150 out of 152 in bb rate for starters over 40 innings.

    Not many people raised concerns at the time about the cost when his deal was signed. I guess I'm just not a buyer's remorse kinda guy. We all knew he'd end up a 1B/DH at some point.

    They weren't apt to trade for him last offseason. Why would the Stros want him now? Sox missed their window TBH. There is no way Breslow is going to get remotely close to what he wants to get for Duran. Sox are stuck with him unless they get a new CBO.

    Ok, people keep saying “Sox are just 5 GB, they can still be buyers.” When can we put this nonsense to bed? It’s July! (This is not just on here FWIW) On the ASG, can we just be done with the fan voting or at least change the format after the Blue Jays ballot stuffing this year? Bud Selig ruined the ASG forever for me when he allowed that tie. How would you fix the ASG to bring fans like me back? Sorry the last two aren’t directly Sox related, but the voting came out and it’s on my mind.

    Breslow can’t value any internal guy correctly: Harrison, Duran, Mayer, Sale, etc. I don’t trust his models.
