    Crawford is controlled through '28, why extend him? You could make a case to extend Houck, but he's already in his 29 season and controlled for 3 years. No chance to they extend Slaten they way they did with Whitlock. Relief arms are too fungible and Slaten only has a partial year of success at the moment. Imagine if they extended Josh Taylor...

    If Devers is out, it won't matter if Bregman is already on the team. The Sox will be cooked if Devers misses any significant time or is still struggling with his shoulder.

    I mean, there's no reason to add Eaton until he actually needs to be up with the Sox. He spent all of last season in AAA. Why would they add Sikes who only has 3 games above AA? It would be weird to 60 man a bunch of pitchers and replace them with hitters anyway. Fulmer seems more likely. Maybe Isaiah Campbell too.

    It's an MiLB deal at 1.5M. It's not an astounding amount of $ to keep in WOO. They said they want to stretch him out. If so, he may be in WOO for a little bit.

    By "could" I mean would it even be feasible. He's a 9th inning only type of pitcher now and has been for some time. Since the start of 2014, he only has pitched 3 innings before the 8th.

    Looking forward to Brock adding a Jays site for us once they sign Bregman so that we can migrate there. Bob Nightengale of USA Today recently appeared on Area 45 with Bijani and Creighton and suggested the Blue Jays might have a six-year offer out to Bregman.

    Jays are 5th. Sox are 13th (11th CBT). I'm more concerned about the 13th part than where the Jays stand. On $'s, they are closer to 18th place than 5th place. This will be the 3rd year in a row they are out of the top 10. That hasn't happened in at least 30 years if not longer.

It’s worth pointing out that the “60 days” don’t start being counted until Opening Day. Although a team can transfer a player to the 60-day IL quite soon, they will likely only do so if they aren’t expecting the player back until end of May or later.     TOR added 6.4 fWAR with Max, Hoffman, Santander, Garcia and Bettencourt for 32M. Not terrible, but I'm not sure how confident I feel about Max at 2 fWAR. It's also not really a tremendous haul either. Crochet alone is projected at 4.8 fWAR. Sox added another 3 fWAR with Buehler, Chapman, et al.
