  1. That feels like ancient history after his rib issue and now leg issue. 🫠
  2. Months when Casas has had a 860+ OPS: July and August 2023.
  3. Casas may come back, but it may be a much lesser Casas. He's had a significant amount of injuries already and relying him on anything going forward seems foolhardy. Is the idea that Anthony replaces Devers? Weren't they supposed to use the Devers money to bring people in?
  4. The hardest ball he threw all year was 81.1, 86th of 94 (guys with 2b eligibility).
  5. BA/Alex Speier Red Sox top 10: 1. Tolle (SP 1) 2. Arias (2) 3. Early (5) 4. Witherspoon (4) 5. Perales (3) 6. Password (6) 7. Valera (7) 8. Gonzales (9) 9. Fajardo (11) 10. Soto (12) Does not have Clarke or Romero in his top 10.
  6. I'd rather he play on the right side of the IF.
  7. 😎
  8. The Sox used to be top 5 to highest payroll in baseball year in and year out. Now I see posts about how they are a mid market team! It's just crazy... The payroll limitations the Sox have are self imposed.
  9. If they stopped right at the first threshold, it'd be silly. May as well spend up to the second threshold at least.
  10. Well that kinda sucks.
  11. Romy's arm at 3b would not be fun to watch.
  12. 🥾👅
  13. I'd be surprised if they didn't add at 3b AND 1b. It may not be Breggie AND Alonso, but I think they can't run Romy out there at 1b going forward.
  14. That 246 is inclusive of benefits and not just what we are calculating on here when we look at FA lists.
  15. Did he have more value last offseason or now? Hard to say. Most of his metrics seemed to tick down in '25. Teams haven't been knocking down the door for him, so it's likely that he's the guy that is sticking around TBH. I'm not sure teams are really all that concerned about Gold Glove voting.
  16. A full year of Roman Anthony. 😍
  17. They only had Devers for part of the season and made the playoffs without him. Ryan is flat out a better pitcher than Giolito. If they are trading and OFer it is to get something in return. They aren't trading Duran for Ryan.
  18. Redonkulous take TBH.
  19. How is he not an improvement?
  20. I will not stand for this ageism. 🤬
  21. Godbout (top 5) Rivas Aita
  22. Thad Ward went first overall. It was clearly a bad idea to not trade him for something at the very least.
  23. Positional players get picked less and less each year. He doesn't have a huge power profile for 1b and is R/R. He also fell off dramatically after being traded. It's more likely he's not taken. If he is taken, he doesn't make it through the season and is returned.
  24. He wasn't mentioned as he wasn't going to be protected by the Sox. The SoxProspects guys talked about him in their Rule 5 discussions, but I didn't think there was a significant chance the Sox would hold onto him. They clearly didn't want to hold onto him and dealt him instead.
