  1. Just think of all the CA HS SS's we'd have in the system! 🥰
  2. Maybe both? Easier to put him at 1b in WOO than in front of the Fenway Faithless. Blaze will still get reps at 3B/DH on days that Campbell is at 1b. Grissom hasn't played 1b since May 23rd so that ship sailed. Grissom can't even hit the ball anymore so probably needs to be dealt to make roster space.
  3. Jordan Monegro - TJS Mullins Paez Sandlin Three are protected and two are traded (maybe Monegro is left unprotected due to the TJS?). If any of the others are selected, it's not a big concern to me at this point.
  4. If the Red Sox haven't learned how to pitch around Devers at this point, he deserves to send a few into McCovey Cove. I've never seen Birdsong pitch before, so I don't know how well he'll do at keeping these bats from waking up from their 8 game slide. Looks like lots of whiffs and k's, which isn't a good sign for the BoSox.
  5. In hindsight, they should have just extended Bloom.
  6. Campbell is the worst 2B in MLB by DRS. He's one of the worst defenders in MLB period at 312 out of 318 in fielding run value. Why? 7 errors in 59 G is not great. A 968 Fld% is pretty rough for MLB. He has the worst range of any 2b in MLB and an OAA that is 1st percentile. If he has that bad of range at 2b, how would that translate to SS? In just the short time Mayer has spent at 3b, he already has a higher fielding run value than Bregman, largely because of his range. Why did they want to move Campbell to 1b? It had nothing to do with Devers. It had everything with him being awful at 2b.
  7. He wasn't ever even an assistant GM before. There were communication questions in the interview process. Maybe he can figure it out and learn from the situation? None of us are there and it's hard to get what's really going on with all the PR spin from all sides. I think we know there's a blame pie and that the people that remain in the organization need to do better going forward. Seems simple enough of a statement.
  8. The Sox haven't really been able to sweep the bad teams. BAL won a series, split a series CHW lost a series, won a series
  9. I think that's when a more substantial trade could be made. Right now, it'd be for expiring contracts or dealing for prospects.
  10. They tried trading Casas and Masa last offseason and couldn't pull the trigger. Now that they've been injured, how are they going to get those deals done? Seems like they'll be stuck with both for a while unless they are eating a substantial portion of Masa's deal and take pennies on the dollar for Casas.
  11. It'll be nice to have the SF series behind us. That's all I'm going to say! Almost better that we're hit with it now and can move on.
  12. I was all on board with a Masa revenge tour this offseason. Who am I to say?!?!
  13. It's a great little run. Surprising! If the pitching holds up, they'll be in a great position for the rest of the season even without a decent DH.
  14. Yes. There aren't too many people on here that are willing to change their opinions on players or people. However, I am a proud flip flopper.
  15. Where'd you see this? I always saw that it was the opposite.
  16. If he mashes in AAA, does it mean he's ready again? IDK. We'll have to find out again. I'm not sure it's confidence so much as he can't pull the ball anymore. Seems like it's more of a hitting coach thing.
  17. I can criticize the Yankees lineup while it having nothing to do with the Sox.
  18. I've said they've been bad! I've said they might be in rougher waters going forward! 🫠
  19. Now it's back to talking about him on the Prospects Forum I guess!
  20. Hamilton doesn't need an option to AAA, he needs a DFA. Should have traded him last offseason when they had offers. 😑
  21. You still need to throw fastballs here and there to keep them honest (see: Bello 2024). If you develop pitchers that are unable to throw fastballs, they will struggle in MLB IMO. The Sox best development arm right now is Dobbins. He throws is 4 seamer (not a cutter, not a splitter) 40% of the time! Tolle is the Sox most exciting starting prospect in the lower levels, because of his fastball shape!
  22. What the frig have I said about the Red Sox offense since Devers left?
