  1. I didn't want to say it. That was definitely the case a few years ago, but maybe it'll be different that they have a lot more young guys in lineup now.
  2. If he hits like he did in 2014, I'll have no complaints.
  3. Don't worry about me. It takes quite a lot for me to get offended on here. This place exists so we can shoot the s*** and have a little fun.
  4. His WHIP is 1.11. He'll be fine.
  5. Didn't he strike out the side against the Jays?
  6. I wish he'd go on the DL. He flat out sucks right now.
  7. Seeing that he missed all of 2015, he'll have a very long leash especially if the pitchers are going well.
  8. Just trying to help ma'am...

    Celtics

The 2001-2002 Celtics team is one of my favorites.
  10. f*** Shelby Miller.
  11. From today's Herald: David Ortiz might not get a chance to use his first baseman’s glove for his final trip to Atlanta. Ortiz, who received a hearty ovation at Turner Field the last time the Sox visited the Braves, will not be in the starting lineup tonight, Farrell said. Hanley Ramirez will play first base. Farrell is undecided on Ortiz’ status for tomorrow night’s game. “David has been on base a lot with the amount of running he’s been doing,” Farrell said. “All of that is factored in.”
  12. So it's not really Red Sox related then.
  13. Idk, I'd trust Hill as much as I currently trust Buchholz...
  14. A post like this isn't Red Sox related and should either go in the general baseball forum or the general off topic one.
  15. Rich Hill is averaging less than 5 innings per start and has a WHIP above 1.5. He has not been "excellent." I'm of the opinion that the Sox rotation should be Price/#2/Porcello/ERod/Wright. Buchholz is trash and Kelly should be in the pen.
  16. Signing Rich hill as a SP wouldn't have been a good idea. He's injury prone and hasn't been a fulltime SP in almost a decade. I think they believed that ERod would make a big jump this year. Once he was hurt, they should have jumped on getting anyone else in here. Porcello has stepped up so far. Hard to complain about what he has done in 2016. If it wasn't for Steven Wright, Farrell would be out of a job already.
  17. It was a joke that not only will he win the gold glove award, but that it will be designated a platinum glove award since his defense will be that much better than regular ass gold.
  18. He'll be the first platinum glove winner in league history.
  19. DH will be swapped between Travis, Shaw and Ramirez (if they can dump Pablo).
  20. Papi's replacement will be in house. I don't see them adding any positional players. They should add a #2 in the offseason and go from there. The only problem is that most FA's wind up being overpays. They probably need to trade some of their prospects and bring back a young starter. The failure to develop pitchers has really hurt them lately.
  21. I bet he can dislocate his jaw like a python so he doesn't have to chew.
