In preliminary #RedSox-#Marlins trade talks, source says Miami indicated that Michael Chavis or Jay Groome alone would not be sufficient to acquire setup man Drew Steckenrider. That is one snapshot of the market value for controllable relievers. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Almost all draft picks are played around with when they first start working out with a team. Trying to get a pitcher to adjust his arm slot and develop a 4 seam fastball isn't really anything out of the ordinary.
That's a lot of assumptions. I think a trade for a guy like Fiers would be really cheap. Not a terrible idea. Sox have a ton of bullpen depth. Another arm would always be welcome, but it's not necessary.

Happy 2nd anniversary to Chris Sale tearing the s*** out of those throwback jerseys and getting himself traded to the Good Sox.
The biggest thing about Buttrey was him cutting his walk rate in half. Knowing that he's going to throw strikes, hitters just can't sit back and wait for him to shoot himself in the foot.
Kelly's LOB% is 66.2% which is pretty s*****. He also has a BB/9 of 4.43 which is the second worst of his career. He's been really solid for the most part, but there are some real stinkers thrown in that can really affect a reliever's numbers.
