  1. I thought men drank bulletproof coffee?
  2. Nah. I think it's pretty f***ing great that the Sox have 4 more wins than any other team in the league. I certainly didn't expect them to be THIS good.
  3. That's me being a debbie downer?
  4. But if stats were shown, you'd probably just poopoo them anyway.
  5. Well, I've done that because I've tracked it that way since 2016. When you look at 2015, the BABIP varies to the point where it just hits you over the head. It shows that there could be a bit of luck involved in how his seasons have gone (both good and bad).
  6. How many people has he injured in TEX?
  7. Ockimey has been very consistent from one level to the next. Dalbec has a higher ceiling, but Ockimey seems to have a much higher floor right now. 2020 starter seems like a decent possibility.
  8. That's very true, but that 563 OPS is kinda embarrassing. You can find guys with similar defense and better offense elsewhere in the division.
  9. I'd rather he have a full season performing well. I'm rooting for him to do it. The history is there for him to have one hot streak and call it a year.
  10. They should blow up their farm and go for it all this year.
  11. The only thing more sure than JBJ having a hot streak is that someday soon the hot streak will end. 2015: 5/10 - 8/8 146 BABIP and 426 OPS 8/9 - 9/7 577 BABIP and 1441 OPS 9/8 - 10/4 173 BABIP and 510 OPS 2016: 4/5 - 5/4 348 BABIP and 792 OPS 5/5 - 5/30 400 BABIP and 1232 OPS 6/1 - 9/30 289 BABIP and 765 OPS 2017: April - May: BABIP 220 OPS 669 May 30th - July 4th: BABIP 412 OPS 1029 July 5th - Sept: BABIP 263 OPS 598 2018: March - June 23: BABIP 232 OPS 563 June 24 - July 15: BABIP 367 OPS 925 The only problem now is that his hot streaks get worse and worse as the years move on.
  12. 4 more wins than anyone else in MLB. Amazing.
  13. And don't have Pom's upside.
  14. Jake Peavy is still a FA and looking for work!
  15. That's not true at all. My logic is that a decision is either good or bad. Baseball can be LOL random so the results don't render the decision bad or good. It's the decision in and of itself that makes it good or bad. Cora needed to save the bullpen. He left Porcello in there. It was a good decision.
  16. A's are just a much better team. Their younger guys are far superior to what the M's trot out.
  17. 1 fWAR player. 2b might be his best position.
  18. https://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=1987-08-17&team=Braves&dh=0 And he never pitched again.
  19. The Mariners are a garbage franchise. Not sure why anyone would be a fan of that team. 2nd rate team fit for a 2nd rate sports town. Would do better if they moved to Vancouver or Portland.
  20. But it didn't end up being a "poor decision" though.
  21. If JD wasn't acting as the 2nd hitting coach on the team, I'd be inclined to believe that argument. The fact of the matter is that JD is helping these guys every day with their swings and game prep.
  22. My guess: 5 innings, 2 earned runs, 5 k's, 3 bb's and gets the call up.
  23. Need something to get me through the day! Unless someone wants to argue with me that Incredibles 2 was better than Incredibles 1. I'm here for that argument as well.
  24. You can make a great decision (even the most perfect decision) and have it not work out due to LOL random baseball. Something not working out doesn't make it the wrong decision. If Betts leads off the game after the AS Break and goes 0-4, was it a "poor decision" to play Betts? Of course not, he's one of the two best players in the game. Cora made the right call. Try to save the pen for the long run. It was the right decision and a "good" decision. I hope Cora makes the same decision next time.
