  1. This is what 2019 has turned into: me stanning for Eric Gagne. Should be a fun year.
  2. His FIP with the Sox was lower than his career average. His k/9 with the Sox was higher than his career average. His BABIP was 120+ points higher than any other time in his career. SSS
  3. Flags fly forever. In NY, there are just starting to be fewer of them.
  4. He quit the game too early to deserve recognition. He needed to drag it out a few more years going back and forth from MiLB roster to Korean roster to MiLB roster to earn a spot in the HOF. Voters don't like that he didn't show enough commitment to the game.
  5. If anyone else is bored during a slow work week, you can read more here: https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/leaders_most_franchises.shtml
  6. Pfffft... Gaudin couldn't even get double digits. That's Rudy Seanez territory.
  7. I agree with you on that point and wasn't trying to argue that you should have known where he was now. Dude is a baseball vagabond and someday may join in the ranks of the Edwin Jackson, Octavio Dotel, Matt Stairs, Mike Morgan, Ron Villone cabal.
  8. This guy has the craziest transaction history: February 23, 2010: Signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an amateur free agent. December 23, 2011: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds with Dave Sappelt and Travis Wood to the Chicago Cubs for Sean Marshall. July 2, 2013: Purchased by the Houston Astros from the Chicago Cubs. May 15, 2015: Purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Houston Astros. June 12, 2015: Purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Toronto Blue Jays. January 12, 2016: Traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers with Tyler Olson to the New York Yankees for Rob Segedin and player to be named or cash. January 25, 2016: Selected off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels from the New York Yankees. February 1, 2016: Selected off waivers by the New York Yankees from the Los Angeles Angels. November 28, 2018: Traded by the New York Yankees to the Chicago Cubs for player to be named or cash. November 30, 2018: Granted Free Agency. December 6, 2018: Signed as a Free Agent with the Minnesota Twins.
  9. Hasn't been a positive oWAR since 2014 when he left COL. He used to rake against FB's, he can't catch up to them anymore.
  10. Hard to "crash" when you are a perennial also ran in the division. The Sox have won 2 WS since the last time the NYY even won the division.
  11. Pedey will be an All Star this year. I think our set up men are fine as is though it never hurts to get more arms. I'm not at all excited about Barnes being the closer, but I'd rather that than dumping MiLB arms for some retread.
  12. To me, no one is untouchable, so it just depends on what the core piece is that they are trading for.
  13. I think Feltman will start in AA. I don't see a reason to upgrade at catcher. I think moving on from Hernandez could be a mistake. Feltman and Hernandez could be the backbone of the bullpen for the next decade or so.
  14. https://www.overthemonster.com/2019/1/2/18163187/red-sox-2019-prospects-chavis-feltman-lakins-shawaryn Prospects that could help this year. This one doesn't mention Darwinzon Hernandez though.
  15. His agent stated that some people were there that wanted to convert him to a super utility role, but that Tulo only wants to go to a place where he can start. They either see him in a utility role, or just want to know what a backup plan would look like if they got a crazy offer on Xander.
  16. It was this one: https://www.amazon.com/Indifferent-Stars-Above-Harrowing-Donner/dp/0061348112
  17. And when I say "whipped cream" I'm not talking about the generic stuff you do whippits with. Fresh made whipped cream is one of the most amazing things you can eat.
  18. The camel and elephant ones are at least.
  19. I'm sure people are too.
  20. Lies. It's just a flight simulator from Project X.
  21. I would never eat a pig. I even take the pigs out of my animal crackers and put them in my daughter's Little People barn.
  22. If it doesn't go well on a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie with whipped cream and hot fudge, I'm not into it.
  23. The most popular is chocolate. Vanilla is fine, but not if you refuse to put anything on it. That's when it turns into serial killer territory.
  24. I don't think you grow the game at the AAA level. You need to increase the outreach of the MLB and get kids to actually play little league again. Population is up in my town, but the participation in little league is lower than ever.
  25. Serial killer alert folks!
