  1. JH has the money. Can't leave it on the table now that they are getting to the playoffs. Right? Maybe?
  2. That team won right after they got rid of some of the malcontents (AGon who complained about playing late before travel days). I'm not worried about the video games. Every MLB guy is a gamer and they talk about it on the broadcast. Giolito famously gets ready for his starts by playing MLB the Show. I can only imagine what the Globe would have said about that back then...
  3. notin has the true poster's spirit. Once he starts typing, he has to hit "submit reply" no matter how it comes out. Sometimes I even decide a post isn't worth it and I've been putting up the most numbers every quarter or whatever. 🫠
  4. Pierzynski had a forgettable stop over in TEX before his forgettable BOS appearance. Bobby Jenks
  5. You know the Hound ain't swingin' left handed with that mug of his. Not sure he's a good clubhouse guy though and probably bad with the media. "Bugger this, bugger that, bugger you." Internal metrics probably grade Tyene Sand really high TBH.
  6. I'm sure he has a nice stick ready to go whenever Brezzz saves him $$$.
  7. Nah, the Sox's current approach is to take the Murakami who will k like Rob Deer and play even worse defense.
  8. He won two NPB awards for his defense at 3b and one for 1b. If the Sox target an NPB guy, they should go for him because of his approach at the plate and ability to field a position.
  9. Music to JH's ears. He needs that for his boat. https://www.superyachtfan.com/yacht/elysian/
  10. Uninspiring on defense. He just feels like a bench guy and that 2025 was his one year.
  11. Fine Hicks, Masa, Arias, Garcia, Clarke, Romero, Sandlin, Paez, Monegro, Mullins for Ohtani (replaces Hicks and Masa)
  12. He can DH a little bit too though. Figured it'd offset his limitations as a pitcher. 🫠
  13. You do it if you believe Rushing is the future starting catcher because of his MiLB offensive output.
  14. IDK. He's got quite the injury transaction listing. He was a 4 fWAR guy at 150 IP and that's where he peaked. That's Duran every year. Seems like a lot to give up for a guy who misses a ton of time. I'd rather find pitchers that have a better track record. That used car might look really good in the listing, but the oil stains on the driving should make you think twice.
  15. 29 DRS at 3B? His previous high was 5. wRC+ was under 120. That WAR was massively inflated TBH. He was never an outstanding defensive player and then became the third best defender in MLB?
  16. Yeah, Lodolo for Abreu seems to make a little bit more sense for both teams TBH.
  17. I'm sure they were REALLY struggling after one year of COVID. They were barely a going concern before COVID and then BAM! Wow, unbelievable that they were able to get through that. 🤏🎻
  18. I think they can work out a deal. Not sure it has to be a one for one or even include Duran TBH.
  19. I think signing extensions is a lot different than luring prospective FA's. What are the prominent offensive FAs that SEA has brought in since moving ballparks 25 years ago? Ichiro (does he really count?) Adrian Beltre Nelson Cruz Cano Richie Sexson Anyone else?
  20. Is this because of the owner, or because hitters don't want to go to SEA?
