    No, the lockout was predetermined no matter what the Dodgers did. They will lockout every time the contract ends from here to eternity. We can feel better about the owners and say the lockout is to fight against the Dodgers, but it's really to fight against the fans who want to watch baseball.

    Nobody cared that Aldo Ramirez was traded. He was ranked like 13th. The question at the time was "why trade for an injured player, hope he comes back soon." Nobody hated on the trade. It worked out. Everyone knew Schwarber's upside.

    Sox were hoping to get value out of that $$$. It hasn't worked out so far. Maybe they wait and see what it looks like in ST. If he is still struggling with throwing strikes, he should just be let go.

    I think he can get to 100 wRC+ this year at 3b (around 715 OPS), especially if they platoon against tough LHP.

    R Suarez is not a Plan B as he doesn't replace Bregman. Very weird pivot for this team. Not a bad move, but the Sox still have a big hole to fill in the IF.

    Hicks had already transitioned to the pen prior to the trade. His BB/9 as a starter is better than only Jovani Moran's of the guys projected to be in the Sox bullpen. Moran is potential the next DFA. There wasn't anything good about his stint in the bullpen and he was the first guy to leave the clubhouse every night per reports.

    Hardly the same category? Refsnyder played OF throughout his time in MiLB and prior to coming to BOS. Arroyo hadn't played a single professional inning in the OF before Opening Day in '23. Ref played 20-35 games every year. Fine. Arroyo playing 17 games was crazy.
