  1. He had almost a 30% k rate in '24. I don't want Murakami. The HR's are nice, but the rest of the profile (high k's, bad defense) aren't what we need to continue to add.
  2. Bo Bichette wouldn't be as highly thought of if he had a different last name.
  3. Arias's calling card is his hit tool, not his defense. Defensive awards aren't always given to those who deserve them the most.
  4. If they eat money, they could deal him. They didn't eat any money in the Devers deal unless you count Hicks.
  5. I loved Schwarber while he was here, but they are stuck with Masa now. They just don't have a spot for him IMO. It's part of the puzzle that has to be overcome when trying to fix this roster.
  6. The Sox need a leader AND HR power. Bregman is only half of that equation. If Alonso is signed long term, it would be fun to watch for a few years.
  7. I'm just worried about the Bellinger rollercoaster ride TBH. Also, Sox need RHB, not Cody's LHB. Beautiful looking swing though.
  8. Justin Turner had an OPS over 825 from age 29-36. Alex Bregman has been under that since 2019 when he was 25. Maybe he can stick around, but I wouldn't pay the premium price he's demanding. That's all I'm saying. He'd be insulted by my 25M AAV offer if I went longterm.
  9. Hoskins saves the Sox a lot of $$$ and has a swing tailor made for Fenway. Tyler O'Neill's ISO in '22, '23 and '25 was under 200 but popped at Fenway.
  10. Tell me about Bregman's power. When was the last time his ISO was above 200?
  11. If they signed Suarez and O'Hearn, they'd be better off offensively than if they had Duran and Bregman.
  12. I'm glad he opted out. I don't want him 4 years from now TBH. The mediocre version of Bregman is an unathletic, punch and judy 3b. It's not worth 40M. It was worth it for a year with opt outs.
  13. Yeah, we're playing pretend right now. That's what we all do when we post about what we'd offer a guy in FA. None of us have FO jobs. If we did, we should probably get back to work.
  14. If they offer 5 years, he's free to go to DET. Too many years for me.
  15. Masa had an 1143 OPS in the postseason. Anthony was on the IL. Okamoto and Hoskins are two power bats that weren't in the lineup. Where is the blame being laid? There is zero chance Brezzz is turning over the lineup more than that.
  16. For me, I'd want a good defensive 3b and Okamoto has the defense, plus power potential. Hoskins also adds power at 1b at a good price point. I don't believe Casas will be ready, but he could come back at some point, show he's healthy in a platoon and get dealt.
  17. Moon can make it up to him in Buc-ee's endorsements.
  18. Dodgers are what they are because their owners actually use ticket sales and tv monies towards payroll.
  19. Some people said Mookie's contract wouldn't be worth it by the end! 🕰️
  20. It's not that I "like to wait" just that I'm pulling names off of a list rather than trying to remember everyone.
  21. If Okamoto is posted, Sox could grab him for 3b. SS would go to Mayer. Story goes to 2B. Sign Hoskins for 1B as Alonso is too expensive. Masa stays fulltime DH. OF Rafaela, Anthony and Duran or Abreu (whichever isn't traded of the last two)
  22. We always think that with an empire.
