  1. And just like that... A hit.

  3. Yup, they are only averaging 1 run per inning played. Amazing.
  4. That's a Pitching Ninja pitch right there.
  5. He's going to be the catcher going forward. Cora wanted Vaz for Opening Day TM.
  6. Scouts are younger and sexier now with access to FanGraphs.
  7. 1-0 to Story. Swings at 2 pitches out of the zone. Doesn't have the Sox patience yet.
  8. The offense should be fun this year.
  9. As a Sox fan, I'm just not scared of Cole. Top tier? IDK. Doesn't pitch like one against the Sox.
  10. Thankfully, MLB.tv was showing the Remy tribute.
  11. Like the Remy patches.
  12. Fitzy has 6HR in 16 AAA games. 1.162 OPS.
  13. I like Verdugo hitting in front of Story. Should get lots of pitches to hit.
  14. @ChrisCotillo A rival scout's take on the Red Sox' bullpen: "It's brutal." Red Sox relievers with a lot to prove early here. That's a big yikes.
  15. JBJ WRC+vs LHP 81 Arroyo WRC+ vs LHP 88 Is the difference great enough to make up for the defense?
  16. @PeteAbe Alex Cora says he sees Jackie Bradley Jr. and Christian Arroyo being a “strict platoon” in RF.
  17. There's room for everyone.
  18. NY Sports Radio will be on fire this weekend.

  20. I haven't seen him play OF personally. Here's what SP has to say: Field: Potential solid-average defender at short. Good range and soft hands. Smart, heads-up defender; gets himself in position to make plays. Comfortable throwing on the run and ranging to his right or left. Capable defender at second base, third base and center field. Organization has moved him around the field to increase his defensive versatility for a potential utility role, not because of any deficiency at shortstop
  21. He's 27 and wasting AB's in AAA. He's not a starter, but he's better than Arauz and Shaw. Cora is good about getting everyone AB's so I wouldn't be worried about him languishing on the bench especially after a short ST.
  22. Fitzy played every position last season except for C.
