    Jesus Christ man, what are you even on about? "Mojo" means doing something the board did yesterday, a day in which the Sox won, to keep the winning times going. We talked about stand-up comedy yesterday, so we should keep it up today.

    This is a franchise that has won 4 rings since the turn of the century, and mostly did it with financial might. The problem is, that approach by itself is not going to work anymore. At least from my perspective, the problem itself isn't the idea of building a sustainable contender based on both developing and spending money, but rather (seemingly) the execution so far. I'm not particularly happy about it and will criticize certain aspects of their approach. Then again, this fanbase, as a whole, has an entitlement problem, and is never truly happy. That's a fact.

    No they're really not. Because like everything in life, the extremes are never right. There's so much we don't know, and making assumptions about what Henry and/or Bloom think or want is an exercise in futility. We can judge based on results, yes, but look at the foundation you just described in your post, which doesn't include Casas and Duran, who may still become above average to great major leaguers. It's not like the franchise is in shambles but adjustments need to be made, as you do rightly state..

    Only two starting staffs in all of MLB have given up more homeruns than the Red Sox' rotation. Let that sink in.

    My problem with them is, that I think they can do both. They've done some spending, but not correctly. Had they spent just a bit more in the SP market, and signed an actual SS instead of a project in Mondesí, we're not having this conversation right now.

    Henry has never once said he doesn't want to pump money into the franchise. He's whined about other teams having more financial resources, but they've always spent, and as he said this year after getting booed by fans, they will continue to spend, but they want a sustainable contender that doesn't have last place finishes.

Just a mish-mash of inefficiency and ineffectiveness.

    That's also relative. What if he presented Henry with a 10-year plan, and as far as MiLB development, the results are satisfactory? As stated above, there's just a lot we don't know.

    He's paying Bloom good money to make this work. I get that people don't like him because he looks like the only mummy they forgot to make a pyramid for, but cut the guy some slack.

    Well way I see it, Henty wants to make money. And what's the best way to make money? Spend money. They want a perennial contender, a la Houston or Dodgers, and they want to fix the talent pipeline before fully loosening the purse strings. "Do as I do'", right? They brought in Bloom, a development specialist, and still pay up for players they really wanna sign (Yoshida, who everyone else say was an overpay) or Devers (who they paid market value for). This isn't on Henry, this is on Bloom. He needs to make his "plan" work
