  1. Well that is another solution if we were to keep Lowell and get Tex. Even though IMHO Youk in left= LOL.
  2. I have a visa, is that good enough for you, good sir?

I don't, since they're too busy trying to acquire the Sabathias, Peavys and Burnetts of the world......
  4. Too bad we had to part ways with him this way, and honestly, i think he should retire.
  5. But that's exactly the point, they'll have to guarantee him playing time, sure, but even if they do, i don't see him even listening to an offer from the Sox unless Mikey has already been dealt, 'cause that could turn into an ugly situation. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to see a 3-4-5 of Ortiz, Tex and Youk *drools*, but i just don't think it's very realistic due to the Lowell situation.
  6. I've always thought this guy to be decent, so maybe he could add some production to the ultra-weak Giants lineup.
  7. It sounds interesting, but if it happened, i tell you it'd be less than a couple weeks before one of the three cried "foul" over reduced playing time, and Youk is horrible in left..... Besides, i don't see Tex signing in a place that would, in theory, have a position logjam when he could sign elsewhere, same years, same or maybe more $$$, and guaranteed playing time.
  8. I stand by the fact that if dealing Lowell is not gonna help us upgrade the number 2 position, then the idea of trading Mikey (and eating part of his salary) to sign Tex is not very smart or realistic financially. I'd rather just sign a top-tier free agent.
  9. Julian Tavarez is even uglier in person
  10. That's a pretty big IF, even though the market for position 5 is weak and there are a couple of desperate teams, moving Lowell is still no certainty, and i ask you, if your team needed a third baseman, would you want to trade for Lowell right now, post-operation and all?
  11. I don't think the Sox NEEDTeixeira, besides , Lowell is also clutch,if that's what you're referring to, however, Teixeira + Youk is an obvious upgrade over Lowell + Youk, but is it really worth the money to sign Tex plus the hassle of trading Lowell plus eating a huge chunk of his salary. I honestly believe that the budget constraints the moves mentioned before would cause do not justify acquiring Mark Teixeira unless trading Lowell would help the team acquire at least a B+ catcher.
  12. A case of cheap beer and a brromstick for Laird is atrcious for the Sox, sir.....
  13. For some reason i think FO has gauged at least mild interest from some of the starved-for-power at the corners teams (i.e Twins, White Sox, Giants) for Mike Lowell (3B is currently a position almost as thin as catcher) and that's the reason they're trying to push for Tex, otherwise, this is simply not a smart move since having 3 excellent to above-average corner infielders is not a good problem to have unless you can trade one of 'em.
  14. Hi everyone, i've been a fan of the Red Sox for about 10 years now, if anyone needs the insight of someone who lives in a 3rd world country and has only seen Fenway on T.V but still loves the Sox, well i'm here for you.
