  1. Can't sacrifice our young players' confidence to pursue a season that quite honestly, we all know will not result even in a PO berth for the Sox. This team is toast.
  2. Kid will hit. But selective aggression comes with time and experience.
  3. I keep preaching this point. The Sox' pitching staff would look much better overall with a good D behind it, although their penchant for giving up HR's doesn't help, it's certainly not alleviated by the amount of baserunners that get on because of bad defense.
  4. It's a joke bro. Lighten the f*** up.
  5. Casa's struggle are a very minor issue in the grand scheme of the Red Sox' problems. If they could pitch and catch the ball, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
  6. Well this was a nice read to kick off my morning. Unfortunately, I can't drink at the office.
  7. Is Angel Hernandez not a thing? Because he literally has his own strike zone, and the only reason he still has a job is the ump's union.
  8. What is happening here?
  9. The prior posts about Mayer were clearly sarcasm.
  10. So you're saying they didn't give Story that bag under the assumption that if Xander left he could move over to SS because 2B is an easier position to fill?
  11. Story was always going to be the replacement for Xander. Again, they had three guys who could play SS and Kike at the ML level.
  12. Debatable at best, but you get the point. It's still a massive org failure not having a suitable defensive MIF in the minors for cases like these.
  13. Neither of hose guys would have come into that situation. They needed to shore up MiLB. Y'all talk like ballplayers are robots who won't analyze the situation because of the great tradition and culture of the Red Sox. There's no way anyone with even a sliver of a chance of making an MLB roster signs here with what was, at the time, a SS logjam. Now getting some fidder that could play D is certainly something they failed at
  14. That's not what I asked. What MLB player should they have signed?
  15. It worked in Tampa but not here
  16. This roster is weird.
  17. That first pitch wasn't a strike in any strike zone of any umpire in any league
  18. So who should they hace signed,.considering they had not one, not two, but three SS options ahead of Kiké? I agree they need more MiLB depth but come on.
  19. This is a very important point
