Congrats Sox! Thats a big monkey of our backs to finally have a Division Championship, of course it means very little if we don't win it all, so lets concentrate on the Post Season and make it one hell of a ride!

I like the move, Buchholz is the future, if they don't win it all because hes not pitching then we are not a very good team.

Sounds like Boras's is up to being Boras as usual. If the Cubs get sold in time and the owner will fork up the Cash( Cuban ) I say CHC has one of the best chances of signing him. And with Soriano, Ramirez, Lee, and Arod in the starting lineup that offense would be potent!

Damn Thumper, either you made that , or you have far too much time on your hands to find something like that. Besides its funny and you shouldnt take offense to everything anti Red Sox, its fine for other people to hate our team, its part of being a fan.

I see your point Kilo. But I am not one of those guys that has tried to run down Drew all year. Look at my posts about him, Ive backed him all season.

He will be useless if he comes back to early for the pennant and gets injured worse. Get him back in for the last 6 or 7 games to get his timing back for the PO. The O is not been the problem as of late. They have actually done well. Gagne and the rest of the BP have hit a ruff patch lately and thats why the Division is up for grabs, not because Manny is out. Ellsbury has been playing his ass off and playing damn good too in his place. Is Ellsbury able to be on the PO roster?

We def play better against LAA. Who do we get if we finish 1st and who do we get if we are WC? Id like the division I really would, but Playoffs are Playoffs and aslong as we are in we have a chance. -

Drew was our best option in the off season, Ill cheer for him while he wears the Sox uniform and hope this season was just an adjustment for a career NL player. He needs to put on a few pounds this offseason def. to help his power. His main problem has been consistancy, one week he tears up everything( .471 AVG over last week) then he struggles bad. I say its a sign of a pitcher adjusting to Park/Pitchers he has never seen before.

I'm not thrilled about this as a Pats fan. But i'm also sure we are not the first, but we got caught so now we must be dealt with. But if we had been doing this for awhile wouldn't we beable to beat just about everyone if we knew there plays? Especially Denver LOL

I've been advocating cutting Drew some slack and cheering him all season, now Tek says it and everyone jumps on?LOL Well guess it means I don't have as much pull as Tek on talksox LOL:)

I have a list of players in my head that if asked "Who do you think uses?" thats pretty long. Anyone want to post who they think could get busted? No need for actual proof, just if you had a hunch or wouldnt be surprised if there name gets listed. Nomar Nixon Stairs Guillen, Jose Sanders, Reggie Millar Rolen Clemens Thats just a few I wouldn't be shocked, Theres other but someone else can play Devil's Advocate for a bit.( Guys again, its not based on actual proof)

Guys this is my 1st thread in the Yankees forum, So who do you like more Chamberlin or Hughes? Hughes has shown bright patches but hasn't been consistant, understandable for a 1st year starter. On the other hand Chamberlin has come out running on all cylinders and has broke onto the seen like Papelbon did last year. This guy has some great stuff, if he can stay healthy and keep his weight in check he will be really good. Right now I take Chamberlin out of the pen over Hughes starting.

Guys with the playoffs approaching its time to maybe start thinking match ups. No No one at this point it a lock to make it, but any team within 5 games of the WC or division we will talk about on this thread. Right now I'm not sure who I want the Sox to face but I know who I don't, and thats the Yanks, even with there mediocre pitching and old foggerts playing the field they still seem to ruff us up. It seems like besides the 1st series or 2 of the season they have beat us 2 of 3 or worse. I guess Id like to see them play LAA, we've been good against them but come playoff time who knows, what are your thoughts?

I won't count out the Yanks until we are slipping on the Division Champs T-Shirts. But I won't say I'm not enjoying the lead and ride this team has provided for us this season.

Glavine in his 1st full season lost 17 games. Alot of pitches start off not so great and end up solid pitchers. More guys start off great and fizzle out quickly, Wood, Prior come to mind off the top of my head, those where because of injury but alot of guys you don't even know there names started off great and where the next big thing and now we don't even remember them.

Because he stands to make s*** load more money if he does, sure he can get 25-30M or whatever it is for the next 3 yrs or he could get a 6 yr 170M+ contract by hitting the Market. If he does OPT out the Cashman will have to re-nig on his "We won't resign him if he opts out", which is BS, hes going to OPT out, this was the only leverage that Cashman had, he used it and I don't think anyone is buying it, I'm not, The GM of the Fing NYY threatning not sign someone because the money will be too hi........ I can smell the BS from Holland. When he opts out they will try to sign him, if they do, thats anyones guess but they won't let him walk out of town with out atleast talking to him, that would be the dumbest thing ever. If he walks and goes to Boston, there might be a lynch mob for Cashman, AROD has come along way since last season with the fans, proved that hes the best player in the game and carried NY's sorry old ass's for the better part of the first half if not the whole season.

Becketts a stud. I do the trade 10/10 times plan and simple. Id take Beckett over any other RHP in the game, and the only other pitcher I see as better then him is Santanna.
