  1. I would if I had it, The Netherlands isn't to big on ESPN I am surprised he didn't wait to accept before talking to SF. They must not have ebeen able to put anything together worth while.
  2. Ok Mike & Mike are talking about it now. Congrats guys.
  3. Ok finally a link that says something about him excepting NY's offer. But this article is still only going off Joel Shermans article. The only reason I reserve judgement on if this is really going down is we saw about 100 stories just like this last year with Sanatana, and they where all BS.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3758724 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/baseball/mlb/12/09/yankees.sabathia/index.html?eref=T1 All I'm reading is is about Yanks visiting. Are you using some sort of "other" internet? How about posting those links please?
  5. This isn't confirmed anywhere else. A bit premature guys. All anyone else is saying is there meeting for the 3rd time in 3 days, and Cashman is trying to sell NY to CC's wife. Don't blow your loads yet. Albeit I admit, the chances are strong you get him. I would be surprised if he excepted anything without talking to SF 1st. But who knows.
  6. I'd hold off for something more concrete. He won't decline anything publicly yet. That would work against him in negotiations with SF. If they knew NY was out of it.
  7. You where just saying you hate all the BS that comes out of the meetings. Why would you believe this?
  8. Not sure how thrilled I am about this, but if it drives his signing price for the Yanks then so be it.
  9. CC to LA Burnett and Sheets to Yanks.... That's a fairly risky move to be honest. To sign both of those health risks. The Yanks would be better off signing one of the 2 and trying to bring in a proven innings guy like Lowe or making a trade for Peavy.
  10. Byrd declines. So we get 1 pick?
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3753742 I happy he's not coming to Boston.
  12. Pedroia is to Yanks fan, as Jeter is to us. Gom get over it, he's going to be a thorn in your side for many years to come.
  13. Well to be fair, I said Papelbon was more important signing. Only because I believe it's easier to find someone that can duplicate Youk's production, then it would be to get a lights out top of the league closer:D Although Bard and his 100MPH FB, are making steady improvments in the right direction. he could be a canidate if Papelbon decides to chase the $.
  14. The Giants weren't mentioned alot when I started this thread. But I agree SF has a good shot at him.
  15. At first I thought CC was trying to posture for more $ from the Yanks, by not taking there offer. Now it seems he doesn't want to pitch in NY. The Brewers offering 6 years might be enough to tempt him to leave money on the table to stay in the NL. I thought at the beginning of the off season CC going to NYY was almost a certain. Now it seems anything but.
  16. Nice to see the Sox are locking up key players for the long term. I early stated I thought Papelbon would sign before Youk. After reading his stance on setting the bar for closers, I withdraw my argument.
  17. As most of you know, I don't know alot about some of the Sox lower prospects. But who's this Almanzar kid? Cabrera type? Is he serious? Anyone got anything else on him?
  18. He's waiting for someone to make a deal similar to NYY's. He should know no oone will out bid them. I think this is a sign he has no interest in NY.

  20. Why? Not everyone is tested. He could be on something and just hasn't had to test yet. It is random testing. He could just be taking a chance thinking the odds of him getting tested while hes on a cycle is low. I have no proof of course, I'm just throwing it out there. I guess I'm suspicious of anyone who is nothing and cut one year and then a HR hitter the next. But hey it could all be legit. It wouldn't be the first player they pulled off the heap and buffed up to be a big stick(Uggla).

  22. Am I the only one that thinks Cantu is on something? I mean all the sudden he has a power stroke after being cut from TB. Throw that in along with his pizza face, and it makes me wonder. Sounds like a Florida move. Pick a guy up on the cheap and move him after he has a good year and his value is high. Stupid move by Sabean tho, I hear Sanchez has potential. Maybe SF is making a push in the weak NL west. They signed some veteran RP, and signed a veteran Renteria. I also heard there going to put in an offer on CC. CC'c wife would like him in SF. Maybe if they can come up with something he be interested in.
